Overlay glass bowl or dish, the center light blue and opalescent, the edges more green than blue. Part of the edge softly folds over, creating the irregular and organic shape typical of the fifties. Unmarked. While Scandinavian art glass at the time normally was signed, this unmarked bowl probably emanates from one of the Murano glassworks. Height "1 1/3 / 3.5 and width "4 / 10.5 cm. Condition: fine.

The cherubs are standing on gilded balls. They are well modeled with fine detail with a strong art deco influence. Each one is playing a musical instrument. They are a jolly little trio. Above him an inscription that mentions the Buddha, the Bulguksa temple on Mount Toham in Gyeongju, South Korea, the name Seog’un, followed by the seals Lim-Chung…. And Seog’un. A nice sterling silver double jigger with a turned ebony handle. The jigger has a smaller and a larger cup, each in bell form. The jigger is marked by Edward San Giovanni, who worked in Ridgefield, CT during the 1940s and 50s.
