This is a 17th century, coloured stone Buddha statue. It is curved out of a single piece of solid rock. The clothing on the body is maroon in colour and the boarder around the sleeve and neck is in black colour. The Buddha face, hand and feet are covered with traces of gold leaf gilding. Early 20th Century rose quartz carving of 2 beauties. Made of one piece, it is difficult to find a double figure carving like this. Presented on a custom rosewood stand, this rose quartz carving has really nice details that we were not able to fully capture with a camera. It is much nicer in person and you won't be disappointed. In excellent condition, it measures on stand 10-1/2" high x 5" wide x 2". Carving alone measures 9-1/8" high.
