Modernist handmade 14k and amethysts pin by the very famous Danish designer, Hans Hansen(1884-1940). This wonderful architectural design is a very simple curved pin with an amethyst at either end. Made of very heavy gauge gold, it is signed "HANS HANSEN(in script) DENMARK 585 #104" and is in excellent condition. Of good size, it measures 2 1/2" long. Please feel free to enjoy this Chinese wood carving of a seated Guanyin, early Qing dynasty. The Guanyin is seated in rajalitasana, royal ease, on a pierced rockwork base with one leg lowered and the other with knee raised supporting the right arm, the face carved with a poised and calm expression, wearing a tiara and loose robes falling over the shoulders and open at the chest to reveal an elaborate beaded necklace.

Fine LARGE Chinese Neolithic Banpo Cord-Impressed Pottery Amphora with Oxford TL Test

This fine and incredibly ancient pottery vessel was made over 6,000 years ago during the Banpo phase (c. 4800 - 4300 BC) of the Yangshao culture in present-day Shaanxi province. This form is probably the most well-known of Banpo pottery, if not of all Chinese Neolithic pottery, and no serious collection of Chinese ceramics should be without an example!

A charming porcelain statue was rarely found from an old collection.
In amusing subject of Mother and Child, this statue was put in the famous Chinese antique magazine Art and Collection - May edition, to celebrate the international Mother's Day of May.
It was well preserved without any crack-lines and was free from any restorations.
Of course, due to long time of burial, some abrasions were caused to the surface (see details).

Shallow form with brilliant turquoise color. The cavetto is molded with thirty-two chrysanthemum petal-form flutes that appear convex on the back-side of the dish and encircle the flattened base. A “China” mark is needle-incised on the base. Very good condition. Acquired 25 years ago in North Carolina from an estate that was involved with the tobacco trade in China. It is rare for a large, delicate flat-rimmed dish, such as this one, to survive without damage.

A rare finely carved cylindrical bamboo incense box depicting Scholars amongst rocks and pine trees in a mountain landscape. This item was made in China in the late Qing period - the characters carved into the top read "Qing Guangxu Nian Zhi" which translates as "Made in the Guangxu reign Qing dynasty" (1875-1908).
