A large and very impressive tomb pottery horseman, Chinese, 1368-1644 AD. The type has been thoroughly tested and was burnt approx 500 years ago, placing it in the mid Ming period, c. early-mid 16th. century.

The pottery horseman, a higher-ranking officer, was probably originally equipped with a standard of wood, that has now decayed. He is clad in body armor in blue and torquise and wears a cone- shaped helmet. He is riding a white horse with details in torquise.

This Japanese okimono quality bronze turtle has a champleve decorated shell that opens to reveal a pipe stand. The turtle measures about 6 1/2" long x 3" wide x 2" tall and dates to the turn of the Century. The turtle has the makers' impressed seal underneath. The condition is very good with just a chip to the end of the tail and the hinge pin is missing. The asking price includes shipping within the USA.

Late Qing hand carved turquoise snuff bottle with bok choy and radish along with an ant, cicada, grasshopper and cricket. The workmanship and details is superbly done including the insects, having very fine details to the legs, antennae and bodies. Pair Korean Scholar's Book Chests, four(4) claws Korean Dragon and Phoenix Bird are battling in the flame, inlaid with Mother of Pearl, twisted Brass and faux tortoise shell, 41" high, 27" wide, 12 1/2" deep each in the background of dark brown lacquer with gold powder sparkling finish. Inlaid design of the wings of Phoenix Bird and Dragon are spread out into both sides, and the back is plain dark brown lacquer finish. Fine Large Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Dish

This blue & white "Swatow" porcelain dish, or shallow bowl, was made during the Wanli Reign (1573 - 1620) of the Ming Dynasty. It is coated in a thick glaze and decorated in underglaze cobalt blue. A square Chinese cloisonne enamel gau box with four arched apertures and gold gilt strap loops for personal carrying. Richly decorated on a yellow ground with designs of formal lotus and foliage, the top side panel has a dark blue fylfot. The back panel, with the large red Shou-type character, slides up to open. Made for the Tibetan market, this dates early to mid 19th century, but could possibly be late 18th. Measures 3.35 inches high, 3" across, 1" deep.

Japanese black lacquered on woven Bamboo Trunk, with red lacquered wooden frame on the bottom, Ca. 1920's, 14 1/2" high, 27 1/4" x 15 1/4" wide, two(2) black iron lock compartment on the side and large handles in front and back and corners are wrapped around with black iron. Wooden stretchers on the bottom to support for strength, blue rice paper lining inside the top and the bottom. Some black lacquer loses on the surface and corners are worn.
