A large and very impressive tomb pottery horseman, Chinese, 1368-1644 AD. The type has been thoroughly tested and was burnt approx 500 years ago, placing it in the mid Ming period, c. early-mid 16th. century.

The pottery horseman, a higher-ranking officer, was probably originally equipped with a standard of wood, that has now decayed. He is clad in body armor in blue and torquise and wears a cone- shaped helmet. He is riding a white horse with details in torquise.

This is a 10-1/2" x 8-1/2" ball-footed swing-handle serving basket fully hallmarked for Sheffield, England 1895-6. Made by James Dixon & Sons, this basket has ornate repousse decoration in the bowl as well as attractive design to the ornate handle. Stippled Band was the first toy dish pattern produced by Akro Agate. The transparent topaz color pictured here was only made in 1935-6 and is very difficult to find. This is the Large size Stippled Band set and includes 4 cups & saucers, 4 plates, teapot & lid, creamer, and sugar & lid. The sugar lid is the rare dome - shaped style. This unusual massive cuff bracelet has a large spinach green and yellow striated raised agate. Very three dimensional.

A square Chinese cloisonne enamel gau box with four arched apertures and gold gilt strap loops for personal carrying. Richly decorated on a yellow ground with designs of formal lotus and foliage, the top side panel has a dark blue fylfot. The back panel, with the large red Shou-type character, slides up to open. Made for the Tibetan market, this dates early to mid 19th century, but could possibly be late 18th. Measures 3.35 inches high, 3" across, 1" deep.

How rare it is to find an early soft paste porcelain platter of this size, 16" X 20". This platter in excellent condition is made by the "Bow" factory circa 1765

Large remains of the ornament part of ancient Japanese hollow unglazed terracotta figure from the Kofun period (3rd-7th century) so-called ‘Haniwa'. 20 x 14 x 4.5 cm (7.87 x 5.51 x 1.77in). Used by the bride for wedding this elaborate kingfisher feather crown is a very old and rare piece. The oldest kingfisher ornaments were made by glueing the feathers onto heavy paper. Metal wire was only used to attach pieces together. Both paper and the feathers are fragile, so not many of these old pieces have survived.
