The latest original regional marsh landscape painting by this painter. A dramatic deep red and blue marsh with a distant luminous sliver of sky in buttery yellow was painted with a very limited palette of three pigments plus white, following a more "Modernist" feel to this while the other recently painted "Marsh Moment" - # 1340185 - using the same limited palette may have more of a traditional regional appeal. This impressive 2 3/4" sterling silver cuff studded with 30 amethyst cabs was hallmarked c. 1940 by Manuel Altamirano, senior silversmith in Hector Aguilar's Taller Borda. Interior length measures 5 1/2" end to end. The gap opening is 1 1/2". Terminals measure 2 3/4" wide, center front is 2 1/2" wide. Weight 79 grams. The bracelet is in beautiful condition. This is a 10-1/2" x 8-1/2" ball-footed swing-handle serving basket fully hallmarked for Sheffield, England 1895-6. Made by James Dixon & Sons, this basket has ornate repousse decoration in the bowl as well as attractive design to the ornate handle. An 18th Century Japanese porcelain scalloped serving bowl, with lid, decorated with the Imari colors of red, blue, white, cream, and gold. The tureen measures about 9 1/4" long x 6 1/2" wide x 7" tall. The Shippo design family crest has been applied in gold on the blue panels.
