A rare modernist sterling silver bracelet by the noted jewelry teacher and designer, Adda Husted-Andersen. Husted-Andersen taught in NYC at the Craft Student's League and her work was exhibited as part of the 1946 landmark exhibition, "Modern Jewelry Design" at the Museum of Modern Art. This bracelet is made from flattened and curved pieces of sterling silver intertwined with three brownish green oval cabochons. Measures about 6" around with an opening of about 1". A vintage sterling silver modernist pendant and necklace by Hans Sten and Karl Laine from Sten and Laine in Finland. Pendant reminds us of an abstract spiderweb. Pendant measures 3 1/8" long to the top of the bale and 2 1/8" at the widest. Chain is attached at the bale and closes with a spring clasp that holds tightly. Chain measures about 17" around. Marked on the bale with the hallmark for Sten and Laine, 925H for sterling, Town mark for Turku and T7 for 1972. Very nice condition. Great...

An organic mid century modern brooch by the American studio jeweler, Paul Miller. This brooch, executed in sterling silver with an interesting marbleized stone, measures 2 7/8" long and 1 1/2" at the widest. Marked Sterling, Paul Miller on the back. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds tightly. Has a little tarnish and a few minor surface scratches. Very fine example of his work.

A large copper, brass and silver cuff bracelet from Casa Maya with two large stylized birds. Measures about 6" around with an opening of 1 1/4" and 2 1/2" tall. In nice condition, has some minor surface scratches. A little out of round, some wear to the edges and some tarnish. Signed Maya Mexico. Looks striking on!

An early cross brooch in Sterling Silver with Coral, Amethyst and Mother of Pearl by Matilde Poulat. Measures 1 5/8" across and 1 7/8" tall. Marked MATL, 925 and also has an etched 'E'. Has a squiggle of silver attached to the bottom by two rings. Amethyst stone is faceted. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds tightly. Has a little tarnish. Very unusual combination of stones.

A sterling silver brooch with leaves and two suspended berries by Joan Polsdorfer, who signed her work JoPoL, and was the first American designer to work for Georg Jensen, USA. She also sold her work directly to high end retail outlets. Brooch measures 1 7/8" across and 2 1/2" high. Marked on the back JoPoL, Sterling and design number 472. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Warm patina. Great Arts and Crafts design.

A pair of vintage modernist sterling silver fish cuff links with copper eyes by noted silversmith, Ed Wiener. Three dimensional design. Measure 1" long and 1/2" across. Marked Ed Wiener, Sterling on toggle. Toggles work fine. Cool Mid Century design.

A striking cuff bracelet by Winifred Mason Chenet, who was an African American woman hand crafting jewelry in Greenwich Village. She reportedly worked with and trained Art Smith, a well respected African American modernist jeweler. This bracelet is made of copper with brass overlays and connections of copper rivets and wire. Measures 5 1/2" around with an opening of 1 3/8" and 1 3/4" wide. Signed with her stylized 'chenet'. Wonderfully hand made work.

An amazing 'checkerboard' sterling silver modernist necklace by Georg Jensen, #191. Designed by Ernst Forsmann. Measures 15" long and 1/2" wide. Has a hook closure and two secure safety clasps. Marked Georg Jensen in a dotted oval, 925S, Denmark, and 191. Wonderful condition. Heavy and intricate, looks spectacular on! A very special piece.

A bold, modernist solid sterling silver ring by the noted Danish jewelry designer, Jens Asby. Measures between a 6.5 and 7. Front measures 5/8" wide and 1" across. Marked with the JA in a shield, Denmark, Hand Made and 925S. Has a few minor dings and surface scratches. Feels like you are wearing something special when you have it on! Great design.

Fine Donald Deskey for Ward Bennett Andirons. Iron and brass measuring about 15 /2" tall, 7 1/2" wide, and 17 1/2" deep. Great mid-century modern design.

A sterling silver modernist vintage pendant and chain probably from either Finland or Sweden. Marked with what looks like 'AKH' 830 and some other mark. Marked on both the bale and the clasp. Pendant measures 2 1/2" high and 2 1/4" across. Chain measures 19 " long and has a spring clasp that closes securely. Dark patina, cool design.

A vintage, modernist sterling silver ring designed by Pentti Sarpaneva for Turun Hopea Oy of Finland. Design measures 1 3/8" long and 1" across. Ring measures about a 4.5 now. Marked with the intertwined TH for Turun Hopea, Crown mark for Finland, 830H for silver standard, Town Mark for Turku and date code which looks like L7 for 1964. Nice weight and condition. Great design.

A vintage modernist pair of sterling silver cuff links by noted silversmith, Maxwell Chayat. Measure 7/8" across. Toggle findings are marked Sterling and swivel. Marked Chayat Sterling on the backs. Sterling 'pearls' against oxidized darker sterling background. The pair is in nice condition, with some tarnish. Well made, classic mid century design.

A vintage silver, probably sterling, brooch with a carved carnelian cabochon. Measures 2" long and 1 1/2" across. Marked with what looks like the stylized initials 'ES'. The cabochon has 5 small drilled holes. We are not sure what the purpose was. Has a 'C' clasp that holds securely. Has a little tarnish. Very pretty design.

A wonderful brooch by William Spratling depicting a large moth. Measures 2 5/8" across and 1 7/8" high. Marked with the conjoined WS surrounded by Spratling Made in Mexico. Also marked Spratling Silver. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Heavy silver. Has some minor tarnish and surface scratches. Wonderful item.
