This is a fantastic, antennae hilted, bronze age sword found in Northern India. The patina suggests a high copper content. This museum quality piece measures roughly 495mm and weighs 523 grams. The blade is 8mm thick in the center and the antennae are roughly 12 mm thick. The measurement between the outer edges of the antennae is 8.5cm. The blade edge is jagged but the metal is solid and stable with no signs of repair. This is a very rare sword that needs to be in your collection!

This is a large antique fukusa, Japanese gift cover, 34 inches long and 26 inches wide, without including the tassels. The lid of the wooden box (hiro buta) that carried gifts was often placed upside down to display the gifts. The length of the Fukusa may have been adjusted for the tray.

This is a pair of Qing dynasty blue and white flowers motive jar. There are crab apple tree, chrysanthemum and peony plants painted on the jar. On the shoulder of the jar, a band with four sections are painted with lotus flower. The vase is luted together horizontally in two parts as shown in picture no 5. This is a large doll, probably dated from Meiji to Taisho period, modeling a maiden from the Genroku era (1688-1703). Genroku culture which was the beginning of uprising power of the merchants in the Osaka area was glamorous and quite a contrast to the stiff culture of the samurai. Partially green lipstick that is shown on this doll became fashionable at the time. Her hair style is called Taka (high) Shimada or Bunkin Taka-Shimada.

Here is a beautiful blue and white Chinese porcelain incense stand from the 19th century. It has two marks on it - one in the glaze and one which appears to have been applied later in red. These make great flower holders or just display it for its intrinsic beauty. Minor chips to edges.

In the mid 15th C a freighting junk loaded with fine Vietnamese pottery sank in an area of the South China Sea called the “Dragon’s Embrace.” Around 1994 local fishermen began finding pottery in their nets. This is a beautiful little round porcelain box from the now famous Hoi An shipwreck. This one is roughly 6.3 cm in diameter. It has little sea creatures still stuck to the underside - visible in the last enlargement.

Japanese silk and gold embroidery depicting two cockerels and peonies. The peonies are a symbol of wealth. This imagery can also be interpreted as a father and son motif of passing on knowledge with a moral compass symbolism.The gold thread is 24-karat gold hand-hammered onto the thread.

This is a Han dynasty funerary pottery tripod censer of grey colour, painted with pigment. There are traces of red and white colour pigment on the body as well as on the edge. The tripod censer stands on three short pediform feet. The holes above the body and the raising of the three feet suggests that it may have been used as an incense burner. Such tripod censer in good condition is hard to come by.
