This is Kyogen Hakama which the child of the rich civilian of Kyoto used for the Meiji period. This has the crest that Kyogen is characteristic of the part of the waist. As for this, the whole is dyed with an indigo plant by Katazome. This has several places of thin dirts. And this has several places of extremely small holes. As for this, cotton is thin. A Chinese cloisonne enamel cup-stand with unusual leafy mask decoration. Qianlong/Jiaqing, 1780-1820. 13.25 cms diam. Good condition.

This early 20th century carved ivory landscape is 10 ½” high, 4 ¼” wide and 3 5/8” thick. The scene depicts a sage riding on a horse followed by a young female maid crossing a bridge. A monkey (probably the legendary “Monkey King”) stands on the top of the mountain. Pine trees, bamboo and plum trees are growing around the mountain and river. There is an honorific mark “Kang Xi” on the bottom. Aside of some the worn colors, it is in excellent condition.

A large Chinese Porcelain censor with blue monochrome exterior and white interior. There are three rounded bumps at the base that represent the three feet of a censor. The bowl measures about 5 1/2" high x 9 3/4" in diameter and dates to the Ching Dynasty. The condition is very good with some interior kiln flaw and glaze crawl. This early 20th century Japanese carved bone and tagua statue is 6 ¼” high, 2” wide (the base is 2 5/8” wide) and 1 ¾” thick. It depicts a man who appears to be a merchant. His left hand carries a pouch; his right hand is raised up and holds an unknown subject. His body was carved from bone and his head was carved from tagua (vegetable ivory). Aside from a small repair on the collar, it is in good condition.

A highly desirable Chinese jade coup, shaped as a lotus leaf with flower blossoms decorating the handle and body. The stone is of an even tone with a slight hint of russet. This is a very attractive composition of the "caged" style and measures 5 1/2inches ( 14 cm) wide. In excellent condition. Age: Ming 17 C.

Description: This is a vey finely potted yingqing or qingbai meiping from the Song dynasty. The body is incised with a beautifully free hand drawing of lotus flower with scrolling foliages.
