Of the over 10,000 artifacts that the late world famous Dr. Allen Heflin found, this little miniature hand-molded ceramic female figurine ranks among the rarest. Chinese antique pair of porcelain tiles. Painted in enamel with scenes of snowy landscapes. One panel with a pavilion in the snow, a figure on a path, tall mountains covered with snow and a persimmon tree bare of leaves and laden with fruit. The other panel shows a red pavilion in the mountains, snow on pine and red maple trees and two figures climbing a stepped path. Both tiles are framed in dark hardwood.

This is a very high quality casting, depicting Silenus, dating to the 1st-3rd century AD. A substantial casting with very fine detailing and hand-chasing. The handle measures just under 5-1/2" in height and is 3" at its widest. This would most likely have been the handle to an important vessel used during Bacchic (Dionysiac) revels. This is a heavy, substantial piece of very high quality.

Toward the late Qing and early Republic periods, footbinding in urban centers became less common. But women were still concerned with fashionable footwear. This pair of beaded strips are actually shoes parts which would have been sewn with other matching beaded fabric parts to form a pair of beaded shoes.

Antique Japanese wooden bowl carved in the form of a wide lotus leaves. On the inside of the bowl, a frog with turquoise eye climbs the stalk of a lotus blossom. Impressive filigree silver 'temple' ring of a very elaborate type, Viking settlers from Scandinavia (Kingdom of the Rus or Kievan Rus), present day Ukraine, c. 800-1000 AD.
Beautiful and still wearable temple ring, in solid silver, which consists of a bow ring with a loop and an elaborately carved filigree bead. These rings were worn from a headband around the temples by Viking Rus women, hence the name Temple rings.

Pair of Japanese antique hibachis. Round in form and carved to appear as if made of woven basketry. Spilling over the rims and made to look as though bursting forth from holes in the baskets are plump clusters of grapes, vines and leaves. The "basket" portion of the hibachis is lacquered a deep red while vines and leaves are lacquer a dark green. The grapes a lacquered a deep red. There are metal inserts for coals and ashes.

A Fine Group of 8 Early Punchong Ware Small Dishes
Korea, early Joseon period, 15th -16th century
They small sized group of Punchong dishes decorated with white slip brush,
white slip inlaid and white slip dumped with insiced decorations are rare with 8 dishes,
some dishes with clear glzes and others with clear celadon glaze.
They are all in fine condition except 1 dishe with a chip.

Taisho Period (1912-1926) Gold and Black Lacquer Obento Lunch Box/Picnic Box filled with symbolism of eternal love. The deer and crane are symbols of longevity, and when they are paired they are symbols of eternal love. The pine tree is also a symbol of longevity. The pastoral scenes and gold flowers are beautifully rendered in gold lacquer on black lacquer. The handle is in the form of a pair of dragons. 14w x 12h x 7d inches, 35.5w x 30.5h x 18d inches.
Pair Chinese antique green glazed porcelain bowls, both marked with 'QIANLONG' marks in iron red on the bases, from late 19th/early 20th century period. Size: Diameter of each bowl is 3-5/8 inches, in very good condition.
Japanese wooden Money box, Coin Box used in Shrine or Temple Prayer's Alter, later part of Meiji period, late 1800's, 10" high, 10" wide, 15 1/2" deep, with black wrought iron lock compartment, round flower shape button slide from left to right to open. The top front section lift up and open the box, there are round coin slot and paper money slot on top. This is all original condition and some scratches on wooden surface, no major damage.
Upper part of the seated Isis nursing the Horus child (Harpokrates). The miniature scale head shows detailed facial features. The goddess wears the tripartite wig surmounted by a crown in the shape of the st-seat sign, the hieroglyphic sign used to write her name.
With her right hand she is presenting her left breast to her son, which is now lost.

Antique Japanese Hexagon Kakiemon Bowl, with floral, pine and plum blossom "Shochikubai motif". Some repaired loses on the rim but dates from the 17th, 18th century. This a very rare piece with the typical white bisque and colors of over enamel distinctive of 17th, 18th century work.
