One-of-a-kind!!! This is an item sui generis. A yellow glazed Raku chawan, dating from the Meiji Period (ca. 120 years old) with its original signed wood box.
The chawan is in superb condition with no chips or cracks. Around the bowl are carved chinese characters. The tea bowl is very solid and fits perfectly into the palm of the hands. Great chawan!

A Japanese boxwood netsuke depicting Shojo crouched in a typical posture, with his hand resting on his knee, while sleeping from the effects of too much sake, the kimono is finely carved with geometric motifs as well as the long hair on the back.

A set of three Chinese Ming Dynasty pottery tomb figures of house attendants / gardeners. The figures date to Ming Dynasty - 1368-1644 AD.
The set consists of three figures clad in dark blue robes and hats. Each figure seems to be holding or carrying something for his master. A group of sturdy fellows, by the looks of them. All placed on square plints.
Size: the figures measure 22-23 cm. in height.

This is really a rarely seen example of antique Japanese ceramic art: impressive Katakuchi Chawan (tea bowl with a spout), made of unrefined Mino clay. Katakuchi chawans of that age are barely available on the antique market. It is the only one in our collection. So take your chance.

A Tibetan Bronze figure of Shakyamuni, 19th century or earlier.
Buddha sat in a mediative pose, one hand in his lap, the other connects to the earth. The head has been dressed with gold paint, the hair exhibits traces of blue. A good quality sculpture that seems to have had a hard life and has seen better days. There is a bruise to each upper arm, one larger than the other and some distortion to the bottom of the lotus base.
