A simple black glazed ribbed vase with foliated rim. It stand on a two tier splay high foot, then everted towards a bulb like body towards a straight neck and then slightly everted towards a foliated mouth rim.

No damage, repair or restoration. There are abrasion, minor chips, pin holes, bubble burst and minute shrinkage of the glaze. All this are shown in the picture 3...

Two pairs of nephrite /spinach jade footed cups or goblets, one pair smaller than the other. Chinese, early 20th century. The cups of bell-shape, the stems conical, the only decoration being a line between stem and cup, creating the impression of a seam or joint. Height: "3 ¼ and “4 / 8 and 10 cm respectively. Condition: fine, with the exception of a minimal nick to the foot rim of one of the smaller goblets that can be felt but not seen, could be polished away.

This old Chinese child's cloud collar was hand sewn by a proud Miao Ethnic Minority grandmother. The ornate embroidery stitching includes applique and daiz which is misnamed the forbidden stitch by Westerners. The collar is in excellant condition and is 9.5 inches in diameter

This jade (jadeite) pendant is 2 3/8” long, 1 3/4” wide and 5/16” thick. It is an early 20th century product. It is carved on both sides as a carp with lotus leaf and some small unknown flowers. It was designed and carved in an ingenious way, using the green part of the stone as the carp and the white translucent part as the lotus leaf. It is in great condition.

Sozan spent his life perfecting techniques for celadon production first used in the Souther Song Dynasty as evidenced here with his powdery blue “kinuta” glaze. Asa (hemp) baby's kimono with hand-painted pine tree motif whose wefts as well as warps are hand-plied. It has se-mamori in the back which is a charm with silk threads and this one is boy's kimono as they are in the left as well as in the center (girl's one is in the right). Evils are believed to come from back in old days and it protects a baby from diseases. The second half of the 19th century. 19th century ichii (yew wood) netsuke of a resting wild boar, its feet tucked beneath it, head raised. Netsuke is skillfully carved by the master of the Hida school in characteristic ittobori (one cut) style with clever use of wood texture to represent the creature’s fur and add to charm of the piece.
