Late 20th century emulation of a Song Dynasty of Guan Yao glazed vase. If you don’t have $2000,000 for an original this the nest best thing. Excellent condition with fine celadon glaze and well potted. H: 21cm/8.2in and D: 14cm/5.5in.

This realistically cast Meiji period bronze vase is 13 1/4 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter at its widest point. It depicts an eagle resting on an old tree. There is a stamped maker¡¯s mark on the bottom which reads ¡°Hidemitsu¡±. The owner purchased this piece from Sotheby¡¯s in the early seventy¡¯s. It is in excellent condition.

Thai 14th - 15th Century Sawankhalok Celadon Bowl (19.75cm)

This stoneware bowl was made at the Sawankhalok kilns around the 14th - 15th century. It is quite "heavily-potted" and coated in a finely-crackled translucent celadon glaze. The inner surface has been decorated with incised parallel bands and vertical lines. The unglazed lower part of the underside has fired to a reddish-brown.

An antique Japanese Sado Island Kasane Tansu made of Kiri (Paulownia) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. All original hand forged iron hardware (including Warabite handles) and wiped Urushi lacquer finish. The metalsmith showcased his talent adding Chrysanthemum corners to each drawer front and Mum backplates to each handle. Antique Himalayan tsha tsha (small votive plaque) depicting a red bodhisattva seated on a lotus throne. Tsha Tsha were cast of clay mixed with ground incense and sacred ash. They were dried in the sun and painted with polychrome pigments. Small votives like this one were left as offerings at spiritual sites along a pilgrim's route.

Burmese puppet head was mainly used in the puppet show. The string on top of the head can be pulled up to slide the tongue in and out of puppet's mouth. Due to the heavily used of puppets, the body and costumes are no longer survived.

This is a very fine Japanese cloisonne vase done in the style of Namikawa Yasuyuki. It is not signed but we believe it was made by Honda, another great Meiji era artist. Wonderful Antique Japanese Imari two-piece flower arranger, Meiji Period c 1868-1912; the bowl with looped and reticulated border of interlocking rings, the interior decorated with blue, orange and beige fish and lilies, auspicious symbols of longevity and good fortune. Glass ball on a wooden stand of finely carved and undercut work. The base has been carved in the shape of high foaming waves in which fishes are swimming, and that carry the jewel of the tides. The waves inlaid with little pieces of mother-of-pearl and gold lacquer. Ryujin, the Dragon King, held this jewel to rule the tides. Overall height 7 ¼ inches. Japan, Meiji period. This antique Chinese offering cup would have been filled with water for Buddha and left at the temple alter. It dates from WanLi Reign during the Ming Dynasty.

The cup is black lacquer, peach shaped for long life, has a footed bottom, and ornate finger stops on each side. It has several nicks and chips as is appropriate for its age. The cup is 1.25 inches high and 3 inches across at the widest point.

Antique Japanese Noh mask of the O-beshimi fierce deity, or mythical tengu. "Beshimi" means "mouth clamped shut". This mask is hand-carved from kiri wood, and inside you can see the chisel marks left behind by the artist. Tall Chinese Song dynasty brown glazed tapering form horizontal ribbed vase. The glaze was poured into the interior while the top shoulder of the jar was left unglazed. 14” high. Circa 13th century. This unique antique Japanese vase with four handles has a creamy grayish colored body with crackles and numerous pinholes. A couple of crackles are missing (shown in the photo) at the foot. It is 11 1/2 inches tall, circa early 1900s.

Antique Japanese 2-section isho tansu (chest on chest for clothing) from Yonezawa Area. Drawer fronts are made of kiri (paulownia) wood, frame is made of sugi (cryptomeria) wood. 4 large drawers and 2 small drawers.
