Glazed on the biscuit with green, yellow and brown enamels. On the base are three unglazed spots on which the piece was fired. Stopper in the form of bat, handle in form of stem and spout in the form of blossom. Very good condition with only minor construction flaws glazed over in the firing.

A lidded Japanese Imari porcelain vase, finely painted with landscape cartouches and Ho-o birds among brocade pattern and peonies. With 19th century French bronze mountings, the pedestal composed of four nicely modelled elephant heads and heart shaped bordure, which is repeating on the rim ring. Patented 1878 and marked with a C placing it between 1902-1907, this Tiffany & Co. server is made in the intricate "Olympian" pattern. The scene on the handle is "Venus Born of the Sea." It has a large shell shaped, gilded bowl. This one is not monogrammed but is in very good condition. It measures approximately 9.5" long and 3.25" across the widest portion of the bowl. It weighs 120.9 grams.

An exquisite Japanese gold lacquer Inro of boat scene with five compartments. The inside compartments are covered with dense nashiji lacquer (fine gold flecks). Underneath the bottom compartment is the artist's signature, KAJIKAWA, with red chop. Inro (seal basket) are small decorative containers that hang from the waist. They originate at the end of the 16th century and were worn by men to hold seals and herbal or other medicines...

Offered is this rare New England Glass Company's 'Fruit on Latticinio' paperweght, made around 1849 by Francois Pierre (after he left Baccarat Company and joined NEGC). The paperweight is approximately 2 1/2 inches wide and 1 5/8 inches tall. Polished pontil. It is in good condition - there is the expected, age-appropriate wear to the base of the paperweight (see 5th picture) and a few fabrication-holes (cannot be felt from the outside) inside the paperweight (see 3rd picture)...

These polylobed wooden cups covered with a thick layer of sculpted cinnabar red lacquer were to be used as planters. The interiors and undersides are lacquered in black. It is very likely that the interiors were lined with gilded copper or tin containers, in order to protect the lacquer from permanent humidity, the black lacquered backgrounds suffered from this humidity.A fractured place reveals a piece of textile...
These offering stands were used in Korea on a family altar to elevate offering to worship ones ancestors. These stands were owned by poor people and farmers, and they are good examples of Korean folk art. The largest stand is about 6" in diameter, followed by one at 5 1/2" and the other at 4 3/4". All of them show spur marks and grit where they were stacked for firing in a large kiln. They are all in good condition with no damage. The asking price includes shipping within the USA.

Sterling silver sugar spoon with very fine decoration of a peacock amidst trailing foliage. The bowl is parcel gilt and is decorated with bright-cut engraving. The reverse is marked "Sterling". Before 1916, many American silversmiths did not mark their name on flatware.

18th century English double cotton twist crystal wine glass. In excellent condition save for a small flea bit nick on bottom. Measures 5 1/2" high, Base 2 1/2" diameter, opening at top 1 3/4". Better photos available upon request.
This is a very unique copper alloy or bronze axe head. It is possibly Elamite in origin. It appears to be an early piece based on the reddish brown patina that is typical of high copper content pieces. It does appear to have been cleaned at some point. The socket is rectangular. There is a perforation on either side of the socket for attachment to the shaft pole. There is also a perforation in the rear blade which may or may not be original to the piece...
"Bun-in" is the last kiln for Joseon court.
And there, high quality and sophisticated works were made.
The chamfered vase is very rare on late Joseon.
This piece is seemed to be made at a folk kiln in Bun-in.

This seven feet tall Antique Korean Trident is the only Joseon Dynasty Trident ever offered for sale. The few existing examples are all in museums in Korea. Only Korea has this type of trident with the small round iron cymbals under the fork for scaring off tigers and other wild animals. The shape of the fork is also uniquely Korean. The Chinese trident has much rounder corners. 82 inches (208 cm) tall, 8.5 inches (21.5 cm) wide.
A blue and white Chinese export porcelain pot de crème or syllabub cup, Qianlong c 1760-70, with diaper borders and flowers in under-glaze blue. Height including lid "3/ 7,5 cm. Condition: some crackling to the glaze.
Rare Anatolian (costal region) stone seal with handle and a depiction of a Ram or Goat, Neo-Hittite States, 1st. millenium BC.
Finely carved seal with an elaborate handle and some great details. The Goat is a symbol or personification of the storm god in the Hititte Pantheon.
