Choice of two modernist cast sterling silver brooches; one in a stylized bird design and the other in a stylized scorpion design with a pearl by noted Mid Century silversmith Christian Schmidt, (1926-1974). They are both signed with his stylized 'S' hallmark and Sterling. May purchase individually or as a pair.

The 'bird' measures 2" long and 1" across. Has a three dimensional curved design. Interesting contrast of dark textured patina on the sides and polished surfaces on the top...

A vintage sterling silver orchid brooch by Hector Aguilar.

Signed with the conjoined HA, Taxco and 940 for better than sterling silver. Pre Eagle, (pre 1949).

Measures 2 1/4" across and 2" high. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. The brooch has a beautiful, warm patina.

Classic Aguilar design.

A pair of modernist sterling silver clip earrings, #116 B designed in 1955 by Edvard Kindt-Larsen for Georg Jensen, Denmark. The B indicates that these are the larger examples.

Measure 1/2" across and 7/8" high. Marked Georg Jensen in a dotted oval, 925S Denmark and style 116 B. There is another very tiny hallmark on the end of each of the clips but we can't make them out. May be a U.K. import mark.

No need to have pierced ears, these are clips which hold securely...

A pair of Taxco Mexico sterling silver pendants; one with a central oval amethyst and one in a Pre Columbian design with a coral colored cabochon by the noted female jeweler, Bernice Goodspeed. May be purchased individually or as a pair.

The pendant with the amethyst measures 2 1/2" long and 1 1/2" at the widest. Currently strung on a black cord. This pendant was originally a brooch and converted by a previous owner...

A vintage hard to find sterling silver bracelet with repeating golf balls on tees by Angela Cummings who designed for Tiffany & Co. Signed Cummings Sterling on the back.

Measures 7 1/4" long and 1" wide. Has a clasp that hooks securely.

Fine condition. Quality piece.

An Art Deco style sterling silver bracelet from Mexico with four bezel set amethyst carved masks alternating with domes and curved bars. The stones have some inclusions. We have seen the same bracelet with the FD mark for Fred Davis.

Marked Sterling Mexico on the clasp. Measures 7 1/4" long and 1 1/8" wide. Box clasp holds securely. Has some minor surfaces scratches, a few dings on the sides, some tiny flea bites to the amethyst and a little tarnish.

Striking design...

A vintage modernist sterling silver necklace with a central bezel set amber jewel. The necklace is made from curved sterling with chain at each end. It is marked 925 for sterling. Measures about 16" around. Hard to measure exactly due to the curvature. Has a secure box closure with a safety clasp.

The central pendant part measures 2 1/2" long and 3/4" at the widest. The amber has natural swirls. The design of the pendant is not symmetrical giving it a more interesting look...

A modernist sterling silver brooch with a pearl embellishment by the noted NYC jeweler, Ed Wiener.

Measures approximately 2 7/8" long and 1 1/2" high. Rollover closure holds securely.

Signed ED WIENER. Has some scratches near the signature. Has some minor tarnish and surface scratches.

A modernist brooch by noted mid century silversmith, Frances Holmes Boothby.

This brooch measures 1 5/8" tall and 1 1/4" across the bottom. Has a textured inlay of multicolored enamel. There is a sterling inlay in the center of the enamel for an interesting contrast. Marked with fhb and Sterling on the back. Has a safety rollover clasp that holds securely.

Has a few minor scratches, some tarnish and one nick to the side that touches both the edge and the side of the bezel...

A sterling silver bracelet from Taxco with a modernist, geometric design. Made up of six hinged slightly curved links with a somewhat hidden clasp. Nice contrast between the raised polished sterling and the oxidized background.

Marked STA for the artisan, Taxco, Mexico and 925 for sterling. No eagle mark so probably before 1949.

Measures 7 1/2" around and 7/8" wide...

A vintage modernist sterling silver ring by Hans Hansen, designed by the Georg Jensen designer, Per Harild and crafted by the Georg Jensen silversmithy in Denmark.

Measures about a size 6.5-7. Somewhat adjustable due to the open nature of the design. Marked with the conjoined HaH for Hans Hansen, post 1945 mark for Georg Jensen, Denmark and 925S.

In fine condition. Minor scratches and nicks along the edges and a little tarnish. Thick sterling.

Modernist streamlined design.

A vintage hand made long pendant necklace in an abstract design reminiscent of strung seashells in sterling and brass. Signed behind each of the the 'seashells' with a tiny 925, .45 and a Saguaro cactus hallmark. The bottom dangles are just marked 925. We have been unable to identify the artist.

The central pendant is a large sterling clam shell with 13 smaller dangling ones ending in hammered brass circles. Lots of movement.

A vintage sterling silver bracelet with 6 linked domes and floral swirls made in Denmark. Signed with JA in a shield, Sterling and Denmark.

Measures about 7 3/4" long and almost 1" wide. Has a wide hook clasp that holds securely.

Has a warm patina and some minor surface scratches.

Very well crafted. Fine example of Scandinavian silver jewelry.

A vintage pendant made of a thick hammered sterling loop crossed at the top ending with two orbs with an art glass or agate stone jewel suspended in the center by Anna Greta Eker for Norway Designs Studio Plus.

The pendant measures 3" long and 1 7/8" across. Currently suspended from a black cord. Marked with the stylized ND for Norway Designs Plus Studio, Sterling, 925S, and Norway.

This pendant is surprisingly quite heavy and feels substantial when worn.

An Arts and Crafts sterling silver ring with a large bezel set carnelian cabochon by Kalo of Chicago.

Measures about a size 10. Stone measures 5/8" long and 1/2" across.

Marked Hand Wrought, Sterling and Kalo.

Beautifully made, fine condition. Great example.

A vintage large sterling silver leaf shaped pendant by Angela Cummings who designed for Tiffany & Co. Signed AC Studio for her company after she left Tiffany, 925 and Thailand.

Measures 2" high and 2 1/4" wide. Has a large bale so will accommodate a thick chain or neck ring. Currently suspended from a black satin cord.

Fine condition with minimal surface scratches and tarnish. Quality piece.

A modernist sterling silver hand wrought cuff bracelet signed 'AR' in a design reminiscent of the work of Arthur King. Has polished 'globs' of silver along the edges and surrounding the multiple cut outs. The polished sterling contrasts with the oxidized darker areas for an interesting effect.

Measures about 6 1/2" around with an opening of 1". Fits me comfortably and I have an average wrist. It is pretty stiff and doesn't have much give.

Marked AR Sterling on the inside of one end....

An abstract sterling silver and exotic wood pendant suspended from what looks appears to be the original chain. Signed on the back of the pendant with script initials or characters, 925 and S.S. for sterling silver. The sterling is connected to the wood with rivets for an industrial feel.

The pendant measures 2" long including the bale and about 3/4" across. The 18" hand crafted chain has a secure toggle closure. The pendant has some minor surface scratches and a little tarnish.
