A classic 19th century 2nd standard (800/1000 pure silver) tastevin, inset at the base with a 1669 coin bearing the likeness of King Louis XIV surrounded by "Louis XIV by grace of God King of France and Navarre." The obverse of the coin can be seen from the bottom of the tastevin. The coin is surrounded by the typical pattern of "perles" and elongated "godrons" designed to create reflections in the wine to better judge its color and clarity...

A pair of very well painted and gilt porcelain compotes. Both with marks that are loosely painted in undergaze blue that more or less resemble the crossed torches that are the registered mark for the Locre factory, also known as La Courtille. An oval fluted French faience dish with an oval well in the center decorated with polychrome flowers and insects and a purple rim. Painted on the back inside the foot, “No: 4.” The mark and the decoration are typical of Strasburg circa 1740. The well in the center indicates that the dish was probably the undertray for a small tureen. It is 9 x 7 x 1/3/4 inches (23 18 x 4.5 cm)

This porcelain tea cup and suacer was produced in Bohemia by Pirkenhammer in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 5 ½ inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The rim of the saucer and the foot of the cup are reticulated. The set has a wine colored ground color with reserves of gilded urns filled with colorful flowers. A beautiful English creamware plate decorated with violet swags with green trim along the rim of the plate and the edges of the swags. Aside from being of unusual structure, the violet color is rare, and the presence of a second color extremely rare.

This type ware is often mistakenly referred to as Leeds and featheredge. In reality, many factories other than Leeds made items of this nature, and the type edge here is more properly called a molded edge...

Exceptional Moser cut to clear 6 sided cranberry red stem glass. Each panel has a raised hand cut medallion. 5 medallions feature finely hand cut and gold gilded bouquets of different flowers. The 6th is monogrammed. Probably used as a wine glass, this is truly an amazing work of art. Dates around 1910, and measures 5.25 inches high.

Really finely carved husband and wife in hand sewn clothes from Tennessee. They are from the 1930's and you can tell that the carver was experienced. A wonderful Barr Flight Barr Worcester porcelain coffee can painted by Thomas Baxter or William Doe, the two Worcester decorators who did the finest feather painting. This beautiful example features 4 glorious feathers, a gilded Greek key border, and a gilded ring handle. The bottom is marked with an impressed crown above "BFB".

The condition of this little gem is superb, looking fresh from the factory with absolutely no issues. The height is 2 3/8" with a diameter of 2 1/2"

A charming example of Abraham Parsell's ability to capture the essential characteristic of a sitter and portray them in a wonderful naïve manner. In the miniature portrait presented here we have a young man with striking blue eyes and a mound of curly hair. He is attired in a dark brown jacket, black vest, and white tie and shirt.

A pair of extremely large antique English drinking glasses, each with a bucket bowl on a plain stem. Glasses of this size in this form are quite uncommon, and it is very unusual to find a pair. Good color, striations, and tooling marks. Rough snapped pontil.

Their condition is excellent, with no problems whatsoever. A museum label remains on the foot of one of the glasses. The height is 8", with bowl and foot diameters of 3 3/4".

A beautiful and unusual English double series opaque twist (dsot) wine goblet, the large ogee bowl with honeycomb molding above a stem containing a solid multi-ply spiral band outside of a pair of heavy spiral threads. A substantial conical foot with rough, snapped pontil.

This fine example has wonderful color, striations, and tooling marks, and is in excellent condition with no flaws. The height is 7 1/2", with a bowl diameter of 3 3/8" and a foot diameter of 3 3/5".

A very nicely painted Pratt Ware cottage decorated with a blue tiled roof, children at the windows with an oversize female standing beside it. On one end of the cottage is a woman with a cornucopia (?) and on the other a flowering tree. At the back in the roof is a slot for large pennies. The colors are well applied. Similar cottages are illustrated in John and Griselda Lewis Pratt Ware, 2006 edition page 249. 5 inches (12.5 cm) tall, 4 inches (10 cm) wide and 2 7/8 inches (7 cm) deep.

A thick tapered sided tile decorated in blue of a man in a hat swinging a colf club at a ball with the post that is the target of the game in the distance. There is no decoration in the four corners. Colf was a Dutch game that may have been the predecessor to golf. The tile is approx. 4 7/8 inches 912.5 cm) square and 3/8 inches (1.2 cm) thick.

Condition: major chip to the upper left corner, smaller chips around the edges and a number of small pock-marks in the glaze on the face of the tile...

A high quality porcelain deep sided saucer decorated with an untied bouquet of flowers slightly off center and two small blossoms on either side of the bouquet. The underside inside the foot is impressed with the Nymphenburg mark, the letter “K” and the fraction “1/7”. The saucer is 5 1/8 inches (13 cm) diameter.

Condition: No chips cracks hairlines or repairs. Some very light scratching on the inside of the saucer and a couple of very minor firing flaws.

A porcelain plate with a gilt edge, embossed border, the molded edge of the well decorated with elaborate gilding centering on a hand painted botanical specimen of a Feverfew; a member of the daisy family. The plant name is written in script in red enamel and the number “857” in gilt are written on the back. The combination of the embossed border, the botanical sample and the heavy porcelain all indicate that the plate was made and decorated at Spode. 8 7/8 inches diameter.

A fine Dr. Wall (First Period) Worcester pickle leaf dish in the "Pickle Leaf Vine" pattern, showing flowers and vines within a feuil-de-choix border, and with a workman's mark on the reverse. Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, paint loss, or restoration. The white areas at places along the edge are light reflections. Length 3 1/4", and width 3 1/2".

A pewter tankard marked with the partial touch of John Townsend on the bottom of the inside of the bowl. There are no other marks except the engraved initials “I or J Y” on the front of the tankard. It is 7 inches (17.7 cm) tall and about 6 ½ inches (15 cm) from the front to the back edge of the handle.

This pair of porcelain plates was produced in England by Copelands China in the 1880s for the retailer J.E. Caldwell of Philadelphia. They measure 8 1/8 inches in diameter. The porcelain blanks are fluted and scalloped. The ground color is salmon pink. They are decorated with an elaborate pattern of raised enamel beads and intricate gilding. A rare English soft paste porcelain copy of a Ko Imari Kinrande Kikugata Bowl with janome, bulls eye base. This class of porcelain in Japan is usually attributed to the late Edo period, c.1750-1780. Very nice dark blue Staffordshire transferware plate in the “Bear” pattern from the “Quadruped” series by Hall. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Coalport in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 3 1/2 inches and the cup is 1 3/4 inches high. The cup shape is blown out and scalloped on the rim. The saucer is shaped the same way. The ground color is apple green enamel. Delicate gilded swags encircle both pieces. The handle, interior of the cup and well of the saucer are richly gilded. Condition: Excellent

Amazing "Queen Anne" amethyst paste necklace and earrings set in gilt metal. This style of jewelry has been historically misnamed for Queen Anne, who reigned from 1695 to 1714, as it was made in the mid 18th century. The vivid purple paste stones used are faceted as rose cuts. The earrings have back to front fittings and fit close to the earlobe. The necklace is fastened with a ribbon.
