An English antique ale glass with an elongated ogee bowl raised on a double series opaque twist (DSOT) stem containing a pair of corkscrews outside of a pair of heavy spiral threads.

The glass stands 7 7/8 inches tall, with a bowl diameter of 2 1/8 inches and a very wide stance foot diameter of 3 1/8 inches. Good color, striations, and tool marks, with a conical foot with a rough snapped pontil. Wonderful condition with no flaws or restoration.

A Doccia master salt circa 1770; the molded form is a copy of a silver form. The piece is decorated with red enamel flowers with gilt highlights. Doccia was founded circa 1735 near Florence and continues to produce porcelain. Height is approximately 1 ½ inches (3.8 cm). Length is 3 ¼ inches (7.6cm) and width is 2 5/8 inches (5.1 cm).

Condition: Chipped foot with slight discoloration on foot, otherwise nice.

The master salt is made in an unusual form with bright decoration. Sold

4 Clingnancourt hard paste porcelain dinner plates with shaped edge, an elaborate gilt rim, a continuous band of hand painted roses and leaves and in the well of the plate rose sprigs. All with the Clignancourt stencil mark in red on the underside. 9 ¾ inches (25 cm) diameter.

A beautiful and elegant double series opaque twist (DSOT) cordial glass with a honeycomb molded round funnel bowl. The stem has a 12 ply spiral band around a central lace twist. 6 11/16" tall, with a bowl diameter of 1 7/8" and a foot diameter of 2 9/16". Rough snapped pontil, superb condition.

A nice wine glass with an ogee bowl engraved with flowers and foliage. The stem is of the double series opaque twist type, containing a multiple spiral band around a central 4-ply central column of heavy spiral threads.

Lead metal with a conical foot with a rough, snapped pontil. The glass is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, cloudiness, or restoration. Good color, striations, and tooling marks. The height is 5 5/8" with a bowl diameter of 1 7/8" and a foot diameter of 2 3/8".

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Furstenburg between 1753 and 1770. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and the cup is 3 inches high at the handle. The cup has the traditional Biedermeier style handle that raises above the rim of the cup. There are hand painted bands of grape vines and grapes done in earth tones. A very well modeled porcelain teacup with a delicate loop handle hand painted with a red bodied bird perched on a branch in a fanciful landscape with a fence in the background. Hand painted puce flowers on either side of the handle and in the bottom of the cup. Unmarked but the porcelain and the bird décor are characteristically Ansbach circa 1780. 4 inches (10 cm) across the handle, 3 ¼ inches (8 cm) diameter, 2 inches (5 cm) height.

Dating from the early 1700s before Meissen starting using their cross swords logo is this very rare Meissen porcelain cameo vase. The applied bisque cameo features the goddess Venus looking into a mirror. In very good antique condition, the only evidence of age is wear to the gold gilt. We have not attempted to clean the vase. Measures 9 inches high, about 4.5" diameter at widest.

A porcelain ovoid form teapot with a floral knop and hand painted with floral sprays on either side and floral sprigs on above and below the handle, picked out with magenta, and on the spout as well as above and below. The crossed hayforks with a line through them was the factory mark for the late 198th century. Height 5 1/8 inches (13 cm), length across spout and handle 7 ¼ inches (18.4 cm) and width 4 ½ inches (11.4 cm)...

A fine porcelain cup and deep saucer decorated with hand painted birds sitting on braches near the ground. The cup and saucer are also decorated with randomly placed puce sprigs. Unmarked, but numerous examples of similar birds with puce sprigs are on marked Ansbach pieces. Saucer 5 ¼ inches (13.4 cm) diameter. Cup 4 inches (10 cm) diameter including the handle, 3 ¼ inches (8 cm) without it. Cup 2 inches (5 cm) tall.

A beautiful set of twelve Bow porcelain knives, each decorated with flower sprays and a fuzzy caterpillar at the end of the handle.

Knives of this type and date can be found occasionally as singles, pairs, and rarely, as a set of 6. However, this is the first set of 12 that we have seen or encountered in 25 years...

An Early George III Sterling Silver Porringer or Caudle Cup. Assayed in London, 1769, by William and James Priest. Dimensions; 4" high x 4" in diameter, 6.5" to handles. Weight; 9.6 Troy ounces. Excellent condition.

A charming and rare three-footed Bow porcelain stand. The top is marbleized in shades of blue, puce and yellow, while the the open latticework sides are surrounded by dragonflies, moths, butterflies, and beetles done in a variety of colors. This wonderful example is in superb condition, with no problems or restoration whatsoever, and has bright, unflawed painting. The stand is 2 1/4" high, and has a 2 5/8" diameter at its maximum width.

A nicely decorated lobed dinner plate with an off center bouquet of bright flowers in the well of the plate, two sprays of flowers on the lip and a reddish-purple rim. A little green bud near the rim covers a firing flaw. Diameter 9 7/8 inches (25 cm). Underglaze blue mark of crowned interlaced Cs.

Condition; very good and little wear. A short hairline crack from the rim goes about an inch into the plate.

Bright colors and interesting that no gilding was used.

Lovely Rococo bowls of lobed shape. A Sèvres model and Sèvres style decoration of rose heads and other flowers, and gilt sprigs. Painted and scratched mark Nid(erviller) in greyish black to both bowls, indicating a production date between 1793 and 1800. Diameter 8”/20 cm. Condition: some rubbing to the gilt decoration, a hairline to one bowl and a Y-shaped crack visible from the back (as seen on photo).

A hard paste porcelain shallow bowl commonly used for salad with a dentil gilt rim and hand painted with bouquets and sprays of flowers. The simplicity of the painting is not an indication of poor work, there was at times a fashion for simple looking things; think of Marie Antoinette at her dairy at Versailles. This bowl is from the same period. 8 1/4 inch (21 cm) diameter.

Elegant n its form, and beautifully fashioned, this is a 7 1/4" tall English wine flute. The drawn trumpet bowl leads into a multiple spiral air twist (MSAT) stem above a conical foot with a rough, snapped pontil. The bowl diameter is 2 1/2" and the foot diameter is 2 11/16". Condition is excellent, with no problems at all (the grayness in the bowl is due to the photograph). Good metal color, striations, and tooling.

Between the shoulder knop and the bowl is a plain straight section of stem which might almost qualify this glass a composite stem type. A Fine Georgian English Silver Claret Jug or Wine Ewer, with a Grape Vine and Leaf Pattern on the Body and a Twig Handle. The Hallmark is London, 1788. The Maker Mark is not clear, but it is probably George Gray. It weighs 20.9 Troy ounces and the dimensions are 12" high and 6.5" spout to handle and 4" at the base. In very good condition.

Original eighteenth century Chelsea Seal in the form of a grotesque figure of a black masked man with 3 cornered ("tri-corn") hat. The tri-cornered hat was a popular hat worn in the 18th century by both aristocracy and commoners, as it was designed to better reveal one's highly fashionable wig. Our male figure is in black breeches, standing on a white base with the motto "Tou jour gay" ("always happy"). our early C1790 Georgian 18K seven stone diamond half hoop ring has seven table-cut diamonds (flat on top, faceted sides). The ring is closed back and the diamonds are foiled backed, exactly the way gemstone rings were made in the Georgian period. The diamonds are mounted in silver and set in gold, as the Georgians believed silver was better suited to set off the cool white tones of diamonds. This ring would make a lovely engagement ring or gift to oneself. The ring is a size 7.

Marquis shaped memorialized ring of plaited hair set in 18K yellow gold with the initials LC in gold. The underside of the ring is engraved B.L.C. ob Nov 10 1789 aet 37;. The ring is a size 5 1/2 and due to its small size it was likely worn by the wife of the deceased as a memento while he traveled. The ring measures 1 1/4 at its widest. A wonderful piece honoring love.

A tapered two-stage barrel, with a reinforcing ring swelling towards the muzzle, with a pronounced, molded, flared muzzle. It rests on a prominent turned round (breech) base with a pan raised and a touch-hole (vent).

This type of mortar cannon, "Thunder Mug," was used on ships in the 17th and 18th centuries to salute and signal the port of their arrival.
