An exeptional rosewood tea caddy with heavy cast brass handles and brass cast feet in casket form with shaped lid and lock. The edges are possibly yew wood. Though tea caddy displays beautifully it has a couple of flows, the first of which is a gap in the lid toward the right as you face it...

I am offering this pretty much as an antique collectable frame (rabbet 15" by 11 1/2", about 17" by 13 1/2" if you were inclined to try to remove what looks like an inner frame). It probably dates to about 1880. For many years it has housed a chromolithograph of sailing craft, "Coming Into Port", by the American luminist marine artist George Curtis (1826-1881). The chromo is on canvas, bearing the stamp of publishers Colton, Zahm & Roberts of New York...

A fine old antique gold frame of the 19th century, measuring 27" by 34" by 3" depth, the inner rabbet 18 1/2" by 25 1/2". This frame certainly at one time held a fine painting; there is some hint of there having been a placard. Weight is an impressive 20 pounds; the wood used I believe is heavy oak. There is much evidence of age, moderate wear; but it is in keeping with the age and antiquity of the frame. Currently there is a modern print of a Picasso work inserted into the opening.

A fancy ornate brass oval frame having trefoil cartouches with leaves and edged with beading encircle the mirror held up by easel stand whose stretcher is detached from the frame. However the stand is still most functional. The frame is a very elegant reminder of a lost craft. Please note that we have painted out the glass mirror - not to hide anything other than the photographer. Dimension: 18" h

Outstanding American late Classical mirror framed in solid well-figured mahogany with a gilt applied composition border of bellflowers. The gilding has a particularly rich patina. The glass is old and 1/4" thick, but probably not original, and has dulled to a very nice patina. The plate is backed with a wood panel that is covered with paper. The nails holding the plate in place have been replaced.

This is a charming American cornice or mantle piece in old, original, grayish greenish blue paint. Both an architectural element, and extremely useful, the top section is convex molded, and each section steps down from the one above, with two rows of egg and dart motif separating the sections.

71 1/2 inches long, 9 inches tall, and 4 inches deep at the top shelf. In excellent structural condition, and with wear to the paint as is expected.

Late 19th century French round bronze plaque of Baby Moses. Quite heavy for its size, the plaque has 3 small drilled holes where it was attached to something. Has a wonderful patina that only comes with age. Measures 4.75" diameter and about 3/4" deep.

This is a pair of stunning, carved wood panels from 19th century China. The panels depict several characters in very high relief. The carvings are dark stained wood and the backgrounds are painted red. The photographs certainly do not do justice to these beautiful pieces. They measure 61 cm in length and up to 16 cm in depth.

DESCRIPTION: A section of an antique Dutch Colonial architectural terrace railing, consisting of a sturdy wood frame with worn blue paint, enclosing eight hand-forged iron panels with large center medallions surrounded by iron scroll work, the lower rails bowed out making a lovely design. Would be a stunning decorative accent in the home, the garden, or if used as a striking king-sized headboard. DIMENSIONS: 82"wide x 38” high.

From our European Collection, a very fine and large carved marble sculpture of a maiden, Italian, circa 1900. Artist unknown, but the work is very competently and fluidly executed, capturing a wonderful contemplative serenity and grace. This piece is already fairly large and dramatic at 40 inches tall, but when displayed on a proper sized pedestal stand providing it even further height, it will indeed be a strong and important focal point of any elegant interior.
