Chinese blanc de chine porcelain figure of Quanyin, the bodhisattva of compassion. Her delicate expression with lifelike detail, pierced nostrils and ears, and carefully incised hairs, her crown depicting the Amitabha Buddha, her flowing gown draped over her form, her hands clasped together holding a small vase with the elixir of life, the vessel tipped over so the waters may wash away the suffering of the mortal world. the woman of many Chinese Ethnic Minority groups did not cut their hair. It was often worn on the top of the head in a bun,and sometimes intertwined with lengths of an ancestors hair for added protection from evil spirits.

The hair was often (especially for festivals) decorated with added silver ornaments and/or hairpins.

Charming tiny Chinese toggle of a dragon, carved of orange and pale yellow soapstone, recumbent dragon with his head turned to look over his shoulder, mouth carved open, traces of black pigment.

Antique Quanyin stone carving, the bodhisattva of compassion. She is seated upon a lotus throne with her legs crossed in the lotus position, her left hand holding a container, with her right hand performing the akash mudra or Buddhist hand gesture, increasing the space element within. She wears beautiful open robes with delicate patterns and a crown upon her head.

Dates circa 1920.

Chinese incense burner bronze censer with Xuande mark. Qing dynasty. Good conditions. 17,5 cm wide. 11,2 cm mout rim diameter. 6,5 cm high.

A rare ancient gold ring with a natural blue gray stone. Could be a sapphire. This ring is over 1,000 years old. Weight: 1.74 grams

Height approximately 30 cm. It has been repaired at the base. In good condition.

The bronze body absolutely delightful casted and additionally incised even in the smallest details. The beast modelled with a fierce expression portrayed by bulging eyes and bared teeth, with long curled mane and horns. The tail elegantly curved and detailed with finely incised lines. Excellent, most beautiful patina. Qing Dynasty, eighteenth century. L : 18,2 cm. H. 8,7 cm. Condition : Perfect.
