Chinese jadeite belt hook carved with a chimera climbing on the body of a dragon with arching head, pale green tones in the head of the dragon turning into bright, luminescent apple green tones down the back of the chimera to the other end. Size: 5" length, 1" thick

Small figurine representing Kuan Yin, the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy, in formal attire and wearing elaborate diadem and necklaces, sitting cross-legged on an elevated throne around which reclining lions are showing. Bronze, with dark reddish-green patina. China, Northern Wei or Sui Dynasty. Height: 2 3/4" (7 cm). Strong erosion due to great age, right hand partly chipped (old accident) otherwise good condition. A well potted bowl in Chrysanthemum shape and glazed with a pale Qingbai glaze. Southern Song Dynasty ( 1127 - 1279 ) Diameter : 11,9 cm. H : 4,5 cm. Condition : Very nice condition with one nearly invisible hairline that actually seems to be quite insignificant because despite this hairline the bowl has a nice ping tone when tapped. The design here largely adapted from examples to be found in the famous Song catalogue “Xuanhe Bogu Tu”, notably one example with two opposing worm like creatures incorporated in the central band of decoration.
