Very large Burmese hammered repousse copper-brass-bronze alloy bowl, with traces of silver, decorated with relief panels depicting "Chin Thei" Burmese Buddhist Lions and scrolled stylized foliage. A cast brass gong mounted in a Japanese style wooden frame. The two parts were joined together in Singapore where the stand was constructed out of Vietnamese wuali wood. An interesting and very finely made massive opium weight, Late Shan, 19th./20th. cent.

Peculia weight or figure in the general shape of a 'Kissing bird' of the Shan Burma, but with some added features in the form of fine engravings and a handle.

A rare 3 Tical Brahmani duck or Old Mon Duck of the early style, Burma, c. 1480-1520 AD.

The bird finely incised on the wings and stands on a round base.

Weight: c. 39,17 grams = probably 3 Tical, which fits scale at the period of around 13 grams/unit. A very rare weigth!

A large silver plate bronze mirror, Cambodia, Khmer Empire, ca. 11th.-12th. century AD.

Large and with a beautiful silver patina, uncleaned with patches of green oxidation on the grey silver surface. It features a perfect circular form and a recessed side with concentric incised circles tracing the borders. Objects like this one were signs of prestige, owned by the wealthy and elite in Khmer society.

Hamsa birds with one spike in the manor of the Shan weights from 1770s-. As typical for these attractive weights, they are made in a rather crude provincial style to cover the need for weights used as currency. Also note the round or semicircular bases.

Cambodian Bronze Seated Bodhisatva 2.25H1W1D, 19th century, Holding medicine bowl, oxidized, hollow base

Antique Cambodian, Khmer, bronze figure of Hindu deity Vishnu standing on a square plinth in samabhanga, each of his four arms holding an attributes, mace, lotus, chakra and conch, wearing a cylindrical mitre headdress, dressed in short pleated sampot with fishtail pleats at front and back and secured with an elaborate beaded belt, the face with wide smiling features flanked by long earrings.

This is a beautiful bronze dagger from the Dong Son culture in early Southeast Asia. It dates to the Han period (ca 200 bc). The very fine quillons that are often missing on pieces of this type are present and intact, making this a truly rare and high quality find. It measures 31.5 cm in length and weighs 371 grams. It appears to have a repair to the very tip, which is not uncommon for these daggers.

A scarce larger, authentic bronze Opium Weight in the shape of a bridled and sadled Horse, Laotian at least 17th-19th. century.

A nice old Weight, depicting a very robust Horse with fine thick greyish tinned patina, looks like old silver!

An unusually large size bronze rain drum from Laos, a Herger type three drum. Reference material “The Karen Bronze drum of Burma” by Richard M. Cooler.
