The lid of the lekanis features palmette design with a lady of fashion and a banded design around the base. Both handles remain intact and the piece measures 9cm high x 18cm in diameter. A wonderful style large black serpentine cylinder seal, showing a mounted King hunting a Bull in full freight, a bird in the top and symbols of the Sun and Moon, Middle-assyrian, 14th - 11th century BC.

The scene is quite rare with the detailed bearded mounted king.

Offered here is an outstanding Greek Apulian Kylix. The kylix has a splendid body form with beautiful intact handles that curl slighly upward at the tips. The feature of this piece is the nice band of grapevines that surrounds the piece on both the inside and the outside. A very beautifully carved and polished stamp seal, Syro-Levantine, c. 1st. millenium BC.

A very elaborately carved seal with a tall handle, carved in a cream stone, very glossy! The seal is carved with a depiction of a large bird attacking a smaller animal, perhaps a sheep. Highly unusual.

Size: 20 mm. tall.

Condition: Extremely Fine, uncleaned red dessert sand deposits in the devices.

The cylinder seal is carved in fine white-beige stone, and can be dated to Mesopotamia, Late Jemdet Nasr period, c. 3000-2900 BC. (Collon, period 1B).

The impressive seal is carved with 4 horned animals in very deep relief all the way around the thick cylinder.

Condition: Very fine, intact with some wear and corrosion and quite attractive.

A very finely carved late- to Neo-Assyrian red stone cylinder seal, depicting a human headed, winged demon with Scorpios tail and a large Bull. In between them a tree and above star and crescent.
