Dark and rich Ao glazed teabowl over a thickly slipped and combed, kushime surface. The teabowl is made out of a dark iron bearing clay that I made myself and is altered and the foot is hand cut using a sharpened piece of bamboo.

Fine looking sterling "Dot" bracelet by third generation jeweler Sam Patania. It measures 5 3/4" end to end plus a 1 1/4" opening and is 1 1/4" wide. Weighing 62 grams, it is in fine original condition and signed as shown. Sam continues the treasured tradition of the Patania family.
This large Hagi tebachi, handled dish is by Scandinavian transplant and Hagi native; Bertil Nils Persson. Finding its inspiration in early Edo pottery, this tebachi is hand formed out of a rich red Hagi clay with a surface that shows a wide array of varying surface textures and hues over the large surface. A striking porcelain double gourd vase by the eminent Kutani potter Matsumoto Saichi V
The tall shape has four raised ribs on the matt buff/white glazed body, the bottom gourd boldly painted with sets of green stripes on a tan ground. The buff/white glaze is curious, on close inspection it looks like crushed oyster shell. Signed on the base. The vase comes with its original signed and inscribed box.

An unusual lacquered flower vase, hanaike, by the eminent bamboo artist Tanabe Chikuunsai II
( 1919~2000 ). The black lacquered bamboo vase is decorated in vermillion lacquer with a sago palm and is also signed. The vase is complete with its original blue cotton bag and a signed and inscribed box.
Chikuunsai I began the family tradition of making fine bamboo crafts in 1890, it still flourishes today under the direction of Tanabe Chikuunsai III.
