Large Momoyama influenced tataki paddled Oribe vase with large lugs applied on the neck. The pot was fired on wads, which were ground off and the areas are smooth to the touch. This piece has a great deal of volume and is much larger than the dimensions imply.

Large, totemic Shigaraki vase by veteran master craftsman, Tani Seiuemon I. This impressive and well fired Shigaraki hanaire was thrown in two sections and joined to create the vase and foot of this pot made out of wonderful kinose clay from the region.

Tetsuya Noda, born 1940 in Kyushu. The art is a framed silkscreen mixed media work, part of the "Diary" series dated August 26th, 1985. The image and title is of his home town in Kayuwara. The edition is 11 of 15. The image size is 36 x 23 inches and 47.5 x 35.625 inches with frame. Excellent condition. Noda is part of the Sōsaku-hanga art movement and is considered a major 20th century Japanese artist.
Generous Oribe style covered jar with impressed decoration around the body of the pot. Please note, the lid was fired on a wad that was later ground off resulting in the area you see on the bottom of the lid, it is not sharp and smooth to the touch.

Lyrical and whimsical porcelain tsubo by Ishira Akira with overglaze enamels in red, yellow, green and Persian blue decorating the pure white surface. The surface is covered in red enamel, aka-e style creating a floral framework for the three rabbits articulated around the circumference of the pot with accents in other shades of enamel. The brushwork is easily seen and studied and shows a delft and exceedingly experienced hand.

Interesting and decorative porcelain tsubo with underglaze blue, sometsuke and overglaze red yuriko decoration and gold accents.
This tsubo is in fine condition and does not have a box and the potter has not been identified. The piece measures 7.25" x 6.5".
Lyrical Toruko-ao Persian style chawan with underglaze decoration of birds and flora around the outside of the bowl with a gold decorated lip and clear glazed interior. Zenga style conical summer teabowl with a attractive Jun glaze over stoneware with calligraphy on the exterior of the bowl; SEI DAI JI and then in a column, DAI Chawan (great chawan). This chawan was made at the Seidaiji temple and is reminiscent of earlier Chinese temmoku and yuteki chawan in form with a Jun glaze that has a visually soft and appealing appearance.
This chawan is stamped as well as signed and is in fine condition with out a box and measures 5.5" x 2.5".
