A deep bowl covered in blue salt glaze by Living National Treasure Hamada Shoji enclosed in a box annotated by his son Shinsaku and titled Shio-yu Dohimo Chawan,Shoji-saku.(Do means the midriff, and himo is a line or chord). Wangata style teabowl with fluid dark and light cobalt decoration decorating the exterior of the chawan. Showing both Seto and Annam styles, this chawan by Nakajima Mokusen (b. 1955) has a very poetic appearance and is a very functional teabowl.

This chawan is in fine condition, was made in 2003 and has its original signed box, measuring 4.9" x 3.25".

Red highlights the gray and white of this Tea bowl by Kato Yasukage enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Nezumi Shino Chawan.  Yasukage has cupped and misshapen the bowl into five subtly flattened sides, with an undulating rim forming five peaks, the pin-holed glaze burnt and licked crimson by the flames. A fantastic Tea Bowl by rising star Furutani Kazuya exhibited at Mitsukoshi Department Store, enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Iga Chawan.
