Rare lavender tinged glaze covers the rough Iga clay forming this sake flask by important artist Atarashi Kanji enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Iga Tokkuri. The unusual coloration is punctuated with classic Iga traits, shell marks, undulations in the form, and an emerald drip clinging to the rim. An earing clings to the “mimi” on this fabulous ash glazed vessel by one of our favorite hidden treasures, Tamura Roppo, enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Koshu Iga Mimitsuki Hanaire. The traditional form is affixed with two “ears”, from one of which clings one tremulous drip of ash, seeming to slightly weigh down that side. Very sophisticated Shino chawan by Japanese artist Ko Ji Nakamura. It has a rarely seen Shino glaze of light pink, grey and blue color, designed with plum blossoms. A really aesthetic bowl which fits the palm of the hands perfectly.

This chawan was made around 30 years ago and is well balanced. The seal of his potter name (Kozan-gama) is stamped on the bottom.

It is is perfect condition. No chips or cracks.
