Paedra Peter Bramhall, Vermont studio art glass sphere sculpture. Dated 1982. Size: 13 in. diameter. Paedra Peter Bramhall was born in 1942 and is a glass sculptor and painter who resides in Bridgewater Corners, VT. This hand blown sphere exhibits a peacock feather motif in colored glass.

An unusual lacquered flower vase, hanaike, by the eminent bamboo artist Tanabe Chikuunsai II ( 1919~2000 ). The black lacquered bamboo vase is decorated in vermillion lacquer with a sago palm and is also signed. The vase is complete with its original blue cotton bag and a signed and inscribed box.

Chikuunsai I began the family tradition of making fine bamboo crafts in 1890, it still flourishes today under the direction of Tanabe Chikuunsai III.

A perfect Tetsu-E chawan of highest quality by greatest Shoji Hamada, enclosed in its originally signed wooden box. The chawan has a beautiful tetsu-e brushwork design.

Hamada Shoji (1894 - 1978) was one of the founding fathers of the Studio Pottery movement, who came over to England with his friend, Bernard Leach, to start the Leach Pottery in St. Ives, Cornwall back in 1920. Large Ido style Hagi chawan with original signed box by Hayashi Koyo. This chawan has a great ido influenced form and a wonderful hagi "landscape" with various tones of blush and spotting.

This chawan is in excellent condition and measures 5.5" X 3.6"

Elegant Hagi chawan with white to faint lavender ash glaze over slip and daido clay body. Classic turned foot, kodai with cut notch and impressed seal.

Though marked, I have been unable to read the seal and identify the potter. What I can say is this chawan is definitely post-war, circa 1960 -1970 and very much resembles the works of Sakakura Shinbei XII and Saka Koraizaemon XII from that time period.

This bowl measures 5" X 3.25" and is in great condition. No Box.

A brilliant pin with sterling, 14k gold, coral and turquoise by contemporary Navajo artist L. Eugene Nelson. Trained in engineering and drafting, he meticulously works out his designs to scale on graph paper. His workmanship is precise and scrupulous with each component made by hand and every piece one of a kind. This intricate pin is 2 1/4" long and 1 3/8" wide. Thick ash covers the squat form of this exquisite traditionally shaped tsubo by Sugimoto Sadamitsu enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Shigaraki Tsubo. It is amorphic, clothed in such a thickness of ash and coal that it appears to have formed that way over a millennia. Like some cave formation millions of years old. Two amazing sake cups by Yamada Kazu enclosed in the original signed wooden boxes titled Enbu Shino Guinomi and Kuro(black)Enbu Shino . Enbu means"dancing fire" and it is that dancing fire that pushed the clay and glaze of this works to the very limit where the glaze turned to molten glass and began to flow like lava down the sides and into the interior.

A very interesting vintage Modernist sterling ring in the style of Ed Wiener. Industrial looking and tactile, it is a size 7- 7 1/2 and weighs 11 grams. It is in fine original condition and signed as shown. I have not been able to identify the maker but love the look of the ring.

A bird wings designs form in white and cream on the dark glaze of this unique Tea Caddy by Wada Morihiro enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled simply Chaire.
