Lovely and rich blue and white, sometsuke plate set by Juyo Mukei Bunkazai; Kondo Yuzo. This sometsuke set is made of porcelain with underglaze gosu blue, each plate is decorated with a kaki-zu, persimmon design and is signed on the reverse.

Living National Treasure,Kondo Yuzo was arguably, the one of the finest sometsuke artists of the 20th century. He is most readily identified with his persimmon design, akin the Hamada Shoji and his sugercane motif.

A superb sculptural work of horizontal facets stacked upon each other in twisting obelisk by Mashiko based potter Matsuzaki Ken enclosed in the original signed wooden box. Very sophisticated Shino chawan by Japanese artist Ko Ji Nakamura. It has a rarely seen Shino glaze of light pink, grey and blue color, designed with plum blossoms. A really aesthetic bowl which fits the palm of the hands perfectly.

This chawan was made around 30 years ago and is well balanced. The seal of his potter name (Kozan-gama) is stamped on the bottom.
