Tall, bold vase by Shino and oribe specialist; Higashida Shigemasa (b. 1955). Glazed in his signature HakuSetsu Shino and haiyu glazes, this vase shows his strong deconstructivist styling married with contemporary Japanese aesthetics to create a unique and idiosyncratic work for which he is known for around the world.
