These brooches are Alfred Philippe designs of Nenette and Rintintin rag dolls. These are not hallmarked Trifari. They replicate Alfred Philippe's Trifari design pat 136,080 of Aug 3, 1943. They are more than 60 years old.
Dimensions: Nenette is 1 3/8" and is hallmarked "ling". Rintintin is 1 1/2" and is hallmarked "Ster".
Of hollow construction and graduated thickness, with angular sides. The top surface of the bracelet has been machine-etched in a tight zig-zag pattern. The hinge has a good spring and the bracelet has retained its shape and sits nicely on the wrist. The inner circumference measures 7 inches; the bracelet opens to 1 ½ inches to slide over the hand. It is light and comfortable to wear, with a classic neat look. It has the Italian post-1968 mark for sterling. Weight: 15.6 grams
This chain is nicely hand-constructed with applied cast curled pieces that are reminiscent of the applied and hand-worked French chains of the turn of the 20th century. This one appears to be a bit later; the beading looks to have been cast with the rest of the elements and connected with hand-formed S-shaped links. It has a hand-formed hook closure, and a substantial feel. There is a partial mark for .800 silver on the hook...
Six silver panels frame embossed, hand-painted porcelain panels, in a style very popular during the 1950s and early 1960s. They depict four chrysanthemums and two orchids, in shades of pink and purple, white, yellow centers all on black backgrounds. The bracelet was made by the Toshikane company of Japan, as marked on the box clasp. The metal has been tested for silver; the ring links between the panels are secure...
A clever design composed of three forged wires terminating in curls at each end. The bracelet is handmade and quite sturdy. It bears a mark inside one curl of a three-lobed cypher and STG, possibly for sterling. The metal shows a very strong test for silver. The bracelet has a 6 ½-inch internal circumference, which includes a 1 1/4–inch opening; it is ¼ inch wide. Weight: 21 grams
Composed of delicate, sectional curved bars with ring links. Each piece bears the unidentified maker’s mark of GHS and the sterling mark and Mexico marks; the necklace also has what looks like an eagle 3 mark. Both pieces have secure hook and ring clasps. Classic deep natural green jade necklace measuring 21" long with 8 mm beads. Hand knotted between each bead. The clasp acid tests 14 kt.
Detailed 14k yellow gold sailing ship framed by 4 peridot stones measuring approximately .40 carats total weight. It measures 1.25" in diameter and the overall weight is 7.4 grams. It is very three-dimensional and in great condition; probably dating to about 1910.
Sixteen large old mine cut diamonds set in a heavy platinum setting. The diamonds weigh approximately 3 carats total weight, and grade at VS-SI in clarity and H-J in color. The pin-back is 18k yellow gold and is stamped as such. The brooch measures 1.75" in length and approximately .75" wide. It is in excellent condition and weighs 7.7 grams.
Over a carat and a half of old cut diamonds surrounding a 2.20 carat natural blue sapphire. All set in a platinum on 14k gold setting. There is a wired frame of tiny seed pearls surrounding the whole thing. It is completely unmarked but all aspects have tested as such.
The two largest diamonds measure approximately .40 cts each. On the GIA grading scale they grade at SI clarity and G color...
A very handsome pair of 14K yellow gold cufflinks in a strongly linear, architectural style. The faces are set at one end with iolites cut as sugarloaf cabochons and at the other with bluish-violet chalcedonies cut as triangular cabochons. The use of transparent, intense bluish-violet iolites with softer translucent chalcedonies in the same color family is an inspired choice and really sets these cufflinks apart.
