Very nice condition, minor surface scratches. Nicely textured along the edges. Nice weight, quality set. Great mid century modernist design.

A fabulous 14K yellow gold and platinum brooch by William Ruser commissioned to celebrate the astounding victory of the Pittsburgh Pirates over the New York Yankees in the 1960 World Series. The brooch is designed as one of Ruser's classic waif-like children, this time dressed in a pirate's costume. This stunning retro-style find features a hand carved authentic Italian 18x 24 millimeter oval pink shell cameo. The intricate portrait carving is set in a 14 karat yellow gold ring. The ring is accompanied by a small authentication brochure from jewelry designer Amadeo Scognamiglio. The Scognamiglio family has been carving cameos since 1857.

From the DeLillo Archive comes this glorious set of giant unfoiled ruby red stones set in gold metal with large pearl spacers. Designed by Robert Clark (formerly with Miriam Haskell--note the seed pearl and flower hook), the necklace is 1 1/2” wide and 16” long with a 3” extender & an oval metal hang tag signed DeLillo. The clip earrings are a hair under 1 1/2" (4.1 cm) long by 3/4" (2.2 cm) wide. They are unsigned. Both pieces have never been worn and are in pristine condition...

This fine pin measures 2” long. It displays 3 prong-set, scarab gems, budding from a leaf and stems. It is gold filled and marked BURT 1/20 12KT CASSELL. It is in excellent condition. Burt Cassell, a designer based in Rhode Island and New York City, made high quality jewelry during the 1950s through the mid 1960s. His gold filled designs, enhanced with semi-precious stones were mainly sold through jewelry stores and not department stores...

Rare and beautiful 970 silver and aventurine bracelet by Taxco silversmith Antonio Pineda.This is a wonderful mid-century design, one that I have not seen before. Measuring 7" aroung in the inside when closed, it is 1" wide in the center and gradually tapers to the back. Hinged and opens and closes in the back with a push in clasp and original safety chain. Weighing 73 grams, it is in fine original condition and signed with the Antonio crown, eagle 208 JCL Taxco and 970 as shown in the photo...

This handmade ring features a substantial domed top of cross-hatched openwork and an adjustable band. It dates around 1960-1970, and bears the marks of husband and wife designers Else Berntsen Hughes and Paul Hughes, including the H mark for their workshop, Studio Else and Paul. The ring is sized approximately 4 ½-5 and can be adjusted slightly larger by a competent jeweler. Weight: 10.5 grams

A vintage 18K yellow gold turtle brooch set with rubies by Cartier. The turtle’s shell is formed as interwoven wide ribbons of textured gold, the intersections prong-set with round brilliant-cut rubies. The eyes are also set with small rubies. Parts of the gold have a Florentine finish while others are smooth, creating very pleasing contrast. The rubies are of very fine quality, with strongly saturated color and eye-clean clarity. The reverse side of the pin is worked in a trellis pattern...

A wonderfully heavy vintage silver bracelet by Hermès. The bracelet has a triangular profile that stands well out from the surface of the wrist and a masterfully constructed so that it is flexible, but appears rigid when being worn. The inside edges of each link are parcel gilt, so the bracelet sometimes shows the slightest gold hue. This is probably the heaviest Hermès bracelet we have seen. The bracelet is presented in its original vintage fitted Hermès gray box...

These cuff links measure 3/4" x 3/4" x 1/8". They are sterling silver with a geo wooden inlay. One of the cuff links is marked BETO 925 and TAXCO HECHO EN MEXICO. They have a good heft and are in excellent condition (better than photos).

An exceptional gilt filigree scarab bracelet marked on the box clasp LORAN SIM. The company was in production during the 50's-60's in Providence, RI. One link is attached to the filigree by a small thread.(It's very hard to discern, though one may want to have a jeweler resolder it.See photo with blue scarab.)Please refer to the carnelian scarab for internal cracks. The real stone scarabs measure 3/4" x 5/8"; the bracelet 7.5" x 1".

This sterling silver tie bar features a finely cast Viking ship, a signature Georg Jensen motif. It appears hardly used, and the Jensen marks are well struck, including the post-1945 maker's mark as well as marks for sterling, Denmark, and the design number of 50. It measures 2 1/8 inches long by 3/4 inch wide at the disk. Weight: 10.8 grams
