Circa pre-1948, this coiled snake necklace is the early work of "CEL". I seldom come across pieces by this artisan, but the few I have had are all in the same folk art style of Matilde Poulat, as is this design. Like produced in Mexico City, this necklace is in superb vintage condition.

Composed of alternating spiral and coiled links, the closure is a turquoise jeweled snake head and tail which joins together. You can wear it with the snake at center front, or on the side...

An extremely rare 18K yellow gold Sputnik bracelet by H Stern. The domes are bezel-set with round amethysts, citrines, aquamarines, peridot, green tourmalines, pink tourmalines, and garnets. The Sputnik design was created in the 1950s to highlight the range of colored gemstones available from Stern's Brazilian mines. It later came to be called "Sputnik" for its resemblance to the spiky Soviet satellite launched in 1957...

Vintage , custom made 14k yellow gold and diamond earrings by Arizona jeweler Carlos Diaz. These are old European cut diamonds with a total weight of approximately 1/2 carat. They measure 1/2" diameter each and are clip backs that could easily be converted to posts if wanted. Total weight of earrings is 5.2 grams. Signed "By Carlos Diaz 14k". Very Elegant !

Bearing the signature of Pedro Castillo this bracelet is, for me, a fusion of classic Taxco "arhaeological" as well as modernist elements. The overlay is immaculately crafted - one would never expect less from a Castillo - and the design lends itself to several readings...

A Labradorite sterling silver pendant on chain necklace from the 1950s (or earlier). This 1 x 7/8" pendant features a clear and white striped Labradorite stone with underlaying blue fire and it comes with a later 18-1/8" fine link chain with a springring clasp. Wonderful circa 1970s silver plate with gold gilt necklace by Danish designer Jacob Hull. Heavyweight and solid, with three shiny, articulated discs hanging from a solid necklace. The discs are smooth while the "holders" and bottom portion of the neck-ring have a textured surface. The opening of necklace measures 4.5" x 4 3/4". The hanging portion measures 3.5" long. An unusual combination of classic Victorian insect jewelry and the patriotic color combination popular around the time of the Centennial celebrations of 1876. The insect’s folded wings are set with pairs of rubies,sapphires and diamonds. The thorax is represented with a single bezel-set diamond and the eyes are small rubies. Neither the rubies nor sapphires have evidence of heat treatment. Tested and guaranteed 14K.

This sterling silver bracelet is made of solid hand-worked, twisted circular links that fit nicely together. The secure clasp consists of a hinged figure-eight that snaps over a bead. The link with the clasp has a dividing bar probably for ease of closure. There is a partial sterling mark and what looks like a numeral or maker’s mark on the inside of one link. This great pear shaped ring is a real blast from the past, a blast of diamonds that is! A 1960-s beauty set in 14Kt gold and decorated by 87 diamonds. There are 43 various straight and tapered diamond baguettes set on the outer edge of the ring, while the center cluster is decorated by 44 brilliant cut diamonds. The approximate total weight of all 87 H-I color and VS2-SI1 clarity diamonds is 3.50Ct. The ring is a size 8 ¼ and can easily be sized.

A wonderful figural fob seal depicting England’s patron St. George defeating the dragon. The design is worked primarily in silver, but the horse’s bridle, the dragon’s dorsal ridge and the saint’s spear and shield are worked in yellow gold. The gold base encloses a flat malachite that was never engraved. Tested and guaranteed sterling silver and 18K gold.
