This early 1940's Los Castillo necklace is a masterpiece, designed by Margot van Voorhies Carr / Margot de Taxco, who was married to Antonio Castillo at that time. It's executed in 980 silver, measuring 19" end to end. Just shy of 1 3/4" wide. Weight is 255.2 grams. Signed and hallmarked "980 Los Castillo Taxco", with the design # 262. Absolutely stunning.

Superb Mikimoto 18K yellow gold and pearl brooch in the shape of a cello. The cello’s body is set with 25 fine AA pearls graduating from 3.8 to 5.2 millimeters, and the tailpiece is studded with three round brilliant-cut diamonds. The f-holes, fingerboard, pegs and scroll are worked in gold and are beautifully detailed. The pearls are of exceptional quality with light cream body color and rosé overtones. A vintage sterling silver modernist pendant by the Danish silversmith Johannes Larsen, (Skaelskor active 1977-1984).

Has four dangles suspended from a geometric central pendant. The pendant is marked Sterling and J.La. It measures 2 1/2" across and 1 1/4" high. Chain measures 24" long and has a secure spring clasp. The clasp is marked Sterling with some other hallmarks that are too tiny to read. Has minor surface scratches.

Sleek modernist design.

This handmade wide band ring features a random design of molten drops on a textured surface. The irregular band shape has an upturned edge along the top, where the opposite edge comes to a rounded point. It bears the post-1967 Italian mark for silver, hallmarked for the city of Siena; the hallmark is double-struck, so the maker's number could read 722, 712 or something similar...

Modernism at it's best, this 970 silver & inlaid shell bracelet was designed & signed c. 1950's by Taxco, Mexico artist Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). This Fred Davis bracelet pulls out all the stops. It's a magnificent piece with six huge amethysts and a sleek silver design with opposing "V's". Fabulous and large antique drop necklace in very finely worked silver, with large blue chalcedony carved round beads on a fine chain with tiny very detailed silver flowers, and with a large blue chalcedony drop drilled and invisibly suspended from a flower form mounting. Circa 1910. Spring ring clasp. The metal is not marked but tests positive for at least 800 silver. Similar necklaces are pictured in "Warman's Jewelry" by Christie Romero...

This stunning retro-style find features a hand carved authentic Italian 18x 24 millimeter oval pink shell cameo. The intricate portrait carving is set in a 14 karat yellow gold ring. The ring is accompanied by a small authentication brochure from jewelry designer Amadeo Scognamiglio. The Scognamiglio family has been carving cameos since 1857.

A dramatic sterling silver cuff bracelet of Precolumbian influence, featuing double birds with long, curling tails. The background is deeply oxidized, with a raised decoration; there are a few small areas of loss to the oxidation on one side. The inside of the cuff exhibits a circular mark of Sterling Taxco enclosing the initials LC, the number 148 and eagle 3. The cuff has a 7-inch internal circumference, with a 1 3/16-inch gap; it is 2 ¼ inches at its widest area. Weight: 58.9 grams

A 14K yellow gold gypsy ring with a hand-engraved scrolling motif to the shank on either side of a high-domed cabochon emerald. The emerald is graded as dark vivid green (G7/6) with moderate clarity and color enhancement typical of emeralds. The resulting color contrast with the gold setting is especially attractive, as is the classic tapering shape of the shank. Tested and guaranteed 14K.
