Circa 1930's - 1940's, this bracelet is a stunner. Hallmarked simply "Silver Made in Mexico", it's a book-piece design seldom seen, originally created by Frederick Davis and shown in the Morrill/Berk book "Mexican Silver". No maker's mark on this one.

Four large amethyst cabochons with quartz marbling and natural inclusions sit between oval silver tubes with silver balls at each end...

This pre-1948 bracelet is a huge, wide, weighty piece and a Fred Davis design. It's unsigned, marked simply "Silver Mexico".

The panels have a geometric design inspired by pre-Columbian clay stamps which Davis collected. You can see a similar Fred Davis bracelet with amethysts in my shop.

Bracelet measures a closed, wearable length of 7", with a width of 2 1/8"...

An especially good quality 18K yellow gold band engraved with swirling vines, alternating leaves set with round brilliant-cut diamonds. The diamonds are H/I color and VS1 clarity. The engraving is very nicely worked. Tested and guaranteed 18K.

This mid-century chili pepper bracelet is the work of Salvador Teran. Teran worked with William Spratling at Taller de Las Delicias before leaving with his cousins, the Castillo brothers, in 1939 to work with them at their new taller, "Los Castillo." Considered by many to be a genius at designing, Salvador worked at Los Castillo for many years before establishing his own taller "La India Bonita" in 1952. A delightful Art Nouveau daisy pendant/pin, the petals formed from long Mississippi river pearls arranged around a textured gold disc studded with a rich reddish-orange citrine. The pearls have very attractive lustre. The back retains the original folding bail and pinstem/clasp, and is stamped with the mark for Charles S. Crossman & Co.

This very early Matl / Matilde Poulat pendant is a rare find. Edwardian 14K gold crescent moon pendant necklace set with round sapphires and pearls. The sapphires have a lovely medium blue color with just a hint of violet. The pearls are slightly button-shaped and have very pretty luster. In Victorian and early Edwardian jewelry, the crescent shape symbolized feminine power personified in the moon goddess Selene/Juno. A lovely pair of 18K yellow gold set with cultured pearls by Mikimoto. Each earring features a pair of 7.3mm pearls with very fine luster, blemish-free surfaces and cream body color with rose overtones. The pearls are simply nested in a swirl of gold. A beautiful early Edwardian hair or photo locket, the front worked in a bright pink transparent guilloche enamel over an engraved sunburst background. A heavy 18K yellow gold lantern-shaped fob charm decorated with ornate beading and twisted wirework in the Victorian Etruscan Revival style.
