Rudy Burckhardt famous photographer and painter (Swiss-American, 1914-1999) watercolor and pencil on paper depicting a nude female standing with chair in original gallery frame painted in cream enamel. Signed lower right. Press notice on the back from the gallery where this painting was purchased it is also signed by Rudy, it states that the art in this show was painted in the woods where he was staying in 1973. Measures 12 3/8" x 9 5/8" + 1/2" (1.2cm) frame.

A Rare/Fine Korean Water Color Painting by Won Suk Yeon(元錫淵-원석연)(1922-2003): “A Young musician playing a Korean traditional musical instrument in Royal dress” Korea, circa 1960s, framed, and painted on paper elaborately, and signed the artist’s round seal “원석연” in Korean stamped on the lower right.. It measures 12 3/4” x 16 1/2” painting only It’s in very fine condition without any noticeable damages. Framed.

Original ink and watercolor drawing of historic houses in New Orleans, signed at right by artist Jean Johnson and dated there 1968, and titled at left "Cottage, Hoggle Place" or similar. The work is detailed and very nicely handled. I cannot locate information on the talented artist. Measurements are 10 1/2" by 14 1/2" (16 1/4" by 19 1/2" framed). The photos were taken through the old detail-dulling non-glare glass (which I suggest be discarded)...

DELLA VERNON (1876-1962) was an early California painter, the works of whom are considered scarce, according to the biography in the definitive Hughes Dictionary of California Artists. She was born in Iowa but was known to be in San Diego by 1901, and by 1909 she was in Oakland...

Three small works offered together, all by listed California artist TERESA (TESS) RAZALLE-CARTER (1888-1972). The works, two signed with monogram and one as "Carter", are a small impressionist ocean scene, a landscape of a tree against a sunset, ("Lost On the Salt Flats/August 1971" inscription), and a small Merry Christmas greeting in ink and white gouache. The largest works are 7 1/2" by 5 3/4" as framed...

Italian 20th century watercolor of old church or cathedral, 16" by 13" (27" by 23" framed), signed at lower left "Brunacci" or "Brunalli" or similar. There is no listed artist by these names, but the artist was talented in the medium and created a satisfying work. Condition is excellent. Age would be circa mid twentieth century----perhaps a tourist souvenir piece.

The work, measuring 6 3/4" by 9 3/4" inside the gold mat, and 14 3/4" by 17 3/4" in its old framing (no glass), probably is an earlier work of the artist, judging from the signature style...

This is a drawing from under the Oakland Bay Bridge on the San Francisco waterfront, the Golden Gate Bridge to Marin County appearing small in the distance. Some of the buildings along the waterfront, such as the iconic Ferry Terminal, are visible...

This is an unframed watercolor painting on heavy watercolor paper, the sheet 15 1/2" by 22, the subject an mansard-roofed old 19th century house in a winter landscape, signed at lower left by a Los Angeles area artist of note, Ann Murdoch (nee Sanguinetti). Murdoch is not strictly "listed" but, a living artist in her 70's, now residing in the Los Angeles area, she has a long history in fine art, stretching back to the Village Art Show in New York, the New Hope area of Pennsylvania, and Chicago...

This is a nicely executed watercolor showing one of northern New Mexico's picturesque historic adobe churches in winter, signed at lower left by contemporary artist JOHN S. McFEDRIES. I do not see a listing for the artist but some other works by him can be viewed on the net. The painting measures 10 1/4" by 16 1/4" inside the multiple mats (21 1/2" by 28" in its bleached wood framing)...

Watercolor on paper, 12 1/2" by 18 1/4" inside the present mat, 19 1/2" by 26" as framed, signed "TOWNLEY" at lower right corner and dated there "Oct. 68". I do not see a listing that would match up with this name but the artist was obviously a talented individual. This appears to be a mountain landscape in one of the western states. The trees and the animals are beautifully executed, and there is a superb little ink drawing of a fox near the signature...

This is a beautiful pastel on paper of the Races at LONGCHAMPS, FRANCE or possibly ASCOT RACETRACK in ENGLAND The work is reminiscent of Alfred MUNNINGS or the early work of RAOL DUFY This work has an additional sketch on the back. The work was probably a study for a piece in oil, as many Artist do. It is unsigned on blue Charcoal paper and framed measures about 19” x 28”
