English watercolor paintings on both sides of the paper, circa 1880, one side a lovely classic scene of several cows on a dirt track by a cottage with branching tree, the other side sheep grazing around a tree, a church steeple in the distance. The paper measures 11" by 15" and 17 1/2" by 13 1/2" in a modern frame (I suggest discarding the non-glare cloudy style glass). There is no signature nor other indication of authorship...
Oil on canvas painting of autumnal trees with a few houses in the composition at center, 12" by 16" (20 1/2" by 24 1/2" in newer frame), signed at lower right in red and dated 1933 or 1939 by Hungarian artist JANOS LASZLO ALDOR (1895-1944). As the images of the reverse labels show, the artist was apparently misidentified by previous owners, including the Brand Library in Glendale, California. Aldor painted landscapes of his native land, as well as often elegant portraits and nudes...

A rare c1835 American miniature by Mrs. Samuel Richardson (1790 - 1852), nee Schetky. It took quite a while, using various lighting settings and filters, to finally discern the almost illegible S (?) Richardson signature along the extreme right. That led me to one of the very few examples of her miniatures, one of which is in the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art (Kansas City, MO), which confirmed my interpretation...

Oil on board, 26" x 21" framed, 19.5" x 14.75" unframed, circa 1855
Jan Walraven is a Dutch artist popular for his depiction of children and as seen in this wonderful piece, sleigh rides. Jan Walraven's art typlifies the Dutch style, which he executes masterfully. He is a well listed artist and this would make a wonderful addition to the finest art collection.
