A beautiful 19th Century Russian Icon of CHRIST PANTOCRATOR, in oil on panel measuring 15” x 12.5”

In 1976 Haku Maki did three pairs of prints in which the black and white were reversed. One set is shown here. The cement blocks were used to print the white on black, then cleaned to do black on white. These were done in such themes as Mind Wind and Cloud. These are strong sweeping images in rather large prints. The two Wind images here are typical of the type. They are all about 15" x 20" and in editions of 150.

After the 1938 Cubist painting "Mother and Child, Marie-Therese and Maya", by the French master PABLO PICASSO (1881-1973), this is colorful imagery transferred to silk or silk-like material, mid to late 20th century, measuring 19" by 19" (26" by 26", as presently framed as a display item). The black frame is worn but the scarf is in excellent condition. **The shipping figures refer to the piece going as presently framed; postage would be minimal if removed from frame and sent folded.**

A watercolor on natural wafer, painted by John Cox Dillman Engleheart. The sitter is a handsome gentleman dressed in a black jacket, white shirt, and gray tie. The glazing on the fron of the case has an eglomise border, with the glazed reverse of the case having opalescent glass on top of which is hairwork fastened with a pearl band and gold threads.

The condition of the painting is excellent, as is that of the case. The hairwork on the reverse has some disturbances. Sight size is 2" by 1 5/8...

Original hand-signed limited edition lithograph in color by Al Hirschfeld (USA, NY, born in MO, 1903-2003). This work from his Kabuki series is titled "Fuji". It is signed in pencil by the artist lower right and is numbered 122/275. From 1974. Al Hirschfeld was an important American artist, cartoonist, and illustrator, best remembered for his Sunday New York Times art and leisures covers.

Scarce 1941 color lithograph print titled in the lower left margin "Babes in the wood" and facsimile signature in right margin by the noted California artist CONRAD BUFF (1886-1975). These prints are sometimes found with pencil signatures, and many were issued in small editions generally under 200 examples. I cannot be certain as to the edition size of this particular title. The framing sticker on the reverse from San Luis Obispo suggests the possibility that the scene is somewhere on the central California coast.
