Watercolor on paper of herons or egrets in a marshy area, measuring 21 1/4" by 29 1/4" (54 cm. by 74 cm.), in a 1" wide modern era frame. The painting is firmly signed in ink at lower right and dated 1905. This is, judging from auction records I see, **one of the largest works by this noted Belgian impressionist artist**. Outer was born in the part of Luxembourg closest to Belgium. He studied art in Louvain and Brussels, and in the atelier of Jean-Francois Portaels...

A wonderful, color-filled painting from Haiti, the subject a tropical village and its various ingredients.....pigs, chickens, and close to FORTY colorfully-clad figures going about their daily lives.
