A **PAIR** of mid century offset prints after earlier works by the famous Russian-French Jewish artist MARC CHAGALL (1887-1985) These prints are both hand signed in blue ballpoint pen in margins by Chagall at lower right (considered what is called a "complimentary signature"), perhaps at a special gallery or printer event. They appear to have been framed in the 1950's or 1960's at latest and remain sealed since then. I believe the signatures to be authentic and will stand by that being the case...

A Southwest watercolor on paper painting of fanciful characterizations of a Latino heritage boy and girl, signed at lower right by noted Tucson, Arizona artist GERRY PEIRCE (1900-1969). The work, which measures 14" by 20" (20" by 26" framed) reminds ever so slightly of works by Southwestern noted artist Ted DeGrazia, who Peirce would have no doubt known. THREE circa 1960's gouache on heavy paper abstract drawings, unframed, each 24" by 18", each signed at lower right "Greene". The works definitely seem to have some age as the reverse side of the paper is brown and vintage. I cannot connect these to any particular artist so offer them as decorative mid-century works. This is a hand painted original work, the subject a newly married couple, he in Edwardian (??) formal coat and medals and monocle, she in traditional white with a corsage. The image was either intentionally cut out by the artist and pasted onto a board which was in turn pasted onto a light green silky surface, or someone has subsequently decided on this presentation. Currently the figures therefore stand out in something of a three dimensional manner from the background. I do not see any evi...

Circa 1965 red free form metal sculpture on a black wooden base by George Curtis (1923-2010). Curtis developed a unique way of creating freedom as opposed to formal structure sculptures. Using a 5 gallon pail filled with water and potatoes, he would melt scrap aluminum and pour it into the pail. The result was an unvisualized form that humans have never seen before, a representation of the shape of spaces and caverns between objects. Measures 15" high.

Fine 20th century art of the Middle East is now selling at auction in specialized sales in Dubai for large sums of money.
