“Donne, Colombe e Lampada” Oil on canvas 36” x 24” w/o frame Lucio Ranucci was born in 1925 in Italy. He began painting as a young man while at boarding school and at the age of 22, not long after his father passed away, Ranucci set out for Latin America seeking personal exploration and adventure. What was to be a brief excursion turned into a 16-year stay that involved immersing himself in the cultures of Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Columbia, and Costa Rica...

Lauber, Joseph, 1855-1948, New York. This oil on board is an impressionist style painting of a Woman in a flower Garden with Fruit Trees. It is 5" by 7" in a 2" period frame There is a Salgamundi Club label on the back. Lauber worked for Tiffany Studios and was known for his stained glass windows. He is listed in Who was Who in American Art, Fieldings, Mallett and was a student of Karl Muller, Chase, Shirlaw and LaFarge.

A well done miniature portrait painting on natural organic material, with the sitter being Bishop William White. This piece was done based on the original work painted in enamel on copper by William Birch in 1830. This example kept very true to the original.

From our European Collection, a superbly carved 19th century marble bust of a beautiful young woman, intricately fashioned with wonderful detailing to her cameo necklace, her hair adornments, the fleur de lis motifs on her clothing, and so forth. Absolutely fabulous, this is a very high quality example executed with high refinement and realism.

This very well carved agate contemporary snuff bottle is 2 ¾” high, 1” wide and 3 quarters of an inch thick. The artist used the colors very well. The lighter part was carved as the body of the bottle. The dark part was carved as a bamboo branch with leaves and small Ling Zhi (tree mushroom). It is well hollowed, polished and in great condition.

Everett Shinn, 1876-1953, NY & PA. This small jewel is oil on canvas. It is 12" by 16" unframed and 17 3/4" by 20 1/2" framed. It has been relined and is in good condition. The signature on lower left is difficult to see. It comes from a fine collection in Miami and was purchased at Sothby's. A prominent New York-based artist in the early 20th century, Everett Shinn was a Social Realist painter who focused on lower-class urban themes...
