A rather elegant landscape painting with a modern feeling, the predominating colors subdued yet elegant grays and earth tones, signed rather illegibly with a European hand at lower right corner and dated there 53. The unframed work on canvas measures 23 1/2" by 31 1/2". Signature looks something like "Oltarini" or "Ott....." or "Ult....." but despite years of trying to figure this out I have not succeeded...
Armenian watercolor painting of the famous, sacred snow-covered mountain, Ararat, signed in Armenian at lower right. The work measures 11 1/4" by 16" (14" by 18 3/4" in gold frame). The work likely dates from about 1970 through 1980 or so. It is framed behind non-glare glass, which tends to blur detail. Condition is excellent. Armenian-speakers, please contact me if you are able to make out the name.
A Fine Etching on wove paper "Fruhlingsabend" (Spring Evening) by the well regarded Art Nouveau artist, Heinrich Vogeler (1872-1942). Image size about 4 3/8" by 7 3/8", overall paper about 7 1/2" by 10 1/4". Pencil signed lower right and monogrammed in print. Rare and beautiful.

Exhibitions: RISD Museum, El Paso Museum, Dan Forth Museum and in the Institute del Arte La Paz, Mexico. Leviten was also an active member of the Providence Art Club. An unusual item...a portion of a birthday or other festive cake on a plate, make of some kind of ceramic material, hand painted very realistically and capable of "fool the eye" (trompe l'oeil), painted in colors reminiscent of the colors used by famous contemporary artist Wayne Thiebaud. Measurements are approximately 8 1/2" across the plate, by 8" in height. The artist has hand signed her name on the bottom of the plate, in black marker...
