An unframed oil on canvas painting of a colonial Latin American square surrounded by tile-roofed buildings, a snow-capped volcano in the center distance, signed at lower right "Quishpe" and dated there 2009. Online research shows that name to be most commonly found in Ecuador, but the artist is J. COSME QUISHPE of Cuzco, contemporary South American artist educated at the Ecole de Cuzco Contemporaine. The work measures 11 3/4" by 15 1/2"...

Henri Duvieux, 1855-1882, French. This is one of a pair of Venetian scenes by Duvieux. It is oil on panel 13 1/2" by 17 3/8" in an original 2 1/2" gold leaf frame. It is signed lower right. Provenance: Private Collection Midwest, Doyle Auction, NY, Private Collection. Henri Duvieux was an artist influenced by the interest in Orientalism, a widespread preoccupation of many artists of the mid to late-nineteenth century...

A watercolor miniature portrait done by Richard Morrell Staigg. The sitter is a nice-looking blue-eyed young man in a black coat and cravat, with a light blue vest. As is usual with Staigg, the painting is superbly limned. It is housed in one half of a leather case.

The condition is excellent, with no problems whatsoever. Sight size is 3 1/2" by 3".

Arthur J. T. Briscoe, British, 1873-1943, "Flooded Decks". This incredible image by the British etcher, Arthur Briscoe, measures 8 1/8 x 15 3/8 inches, inked signed and numbered, 73/75, created in 1931. Briscoe studied at the Slade Art School and the Academy Julian in Paris and then spent the rest of his time sailing, becoming one of the most prominent British marine artists of the 20th century. He owned his own three ton cutter which he used to sail around the Essex coast...

Felix Francois Georges Philibert Ziem, French, 1821-1911. This oil on wood panel, signed lower left,is a high quality and exquisitely painted example of Ziem's Venice scenes. It is 8.5" h by 6.5 w in a simple frame with outer dimensions of 11" h by 8" w. This piece is from a private collection and housed in a simple frame.

Original deep etching on zinc by Wendell H. Black (American, 1919-1972), one of the last plates Black worked on before his death. Titled and numbered 7/25 l.l. Signed and dated '70 l.r. 23 1/2" by 35". In excellent original condition. From the first edition of this work, posthumously printed by Berkley Chappell.

This is a Early 1820 Portrait of U.S Senator William Pinkney (1764-1822)of the state of Maryland. He was a outstanding Maryland Lawyer and was from Annapolis and then Baltimore. Early in our research, the Portrait appears to be in the style of Charles Willson Peale. (1741-1827). The Portrait measures 30" x 24" and is mounted in a new style gold leaf frame. The Painting has been restored and mounted on board.

A miniature portrait painting by Abraham Parsell, done in his recognizable style with a multicolored background and the sitter having somewhat frizzy hair, posed with his arm on a chair. Housed in its original cast foliate frame with a glazed rear aperture. The original leather travel case comes with this piece, although it has separated at the hinge and held in place with a safety pin.

The painting is 2 3/4" by 2 1/4". Condition is excellent with no cracks, bowing, paint loss or restoration...
