Elizabeth Fisher Washington 1871-1953 Washington was the great-grandniece of President George Washington and a highly regarded miniaturist and portrait painter. She studied at the Philadelphia Museum School of Industrial Arts and at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts under Hugh Breckenridge and Fred Wagner. Ross Shattuck painting on art board of 2 cloaked figures walking up a hilly desert street, with original frame some minor scuffs. Size sight 15" by 19" and a 3" wide frame 25" by 21" Shattuck studied at the Chicago Academy of Fine Art and the PAFA. He moved from New York to Laguna Beach about 1929.
