Framed watercolor on paper painting of small boats on shore and in a bay, unsigned, circa late 19th century. The (likely) east coast scene measures 9" by 19 3/4" inside the mat and 14 1/2" by 25 1/2" as framed. I did open up the backing to peer inside, in search of a signature, but a signature was not found. The paper was evidently mounted on a board in the nineteenth century, as that board has the old telltale down-the-middle line where the two old wood boards would have met...

A pleasing work for the antique house or Americana and folk art collection. Notably, there is some abrasion and scratches, principally at lower left center near the fence, but also a bit in the trees at left and right and one in the sky, and varnish is yellowed.

A primitive, circa 1880's oil on gray board landscape painting in the Hudson River style, with trees, water, and tiny figures completing the view. Measurements are 18 3/4" by 24 1/2", unframed. There is no signature. The board is slightly warped from old moisture exposure, which caused paint instability/flaking/losses at top couple of inches, as shown, and cracking at lower right. There are also a few light abrasions as shown.

Watercolor on paper extensive landscape with sheep lounging peacefully around a mature tree in full spring bloom, 13" by 26" (23" by 35" as framed), signed at lower right by noted American artist CARL PHILLIP WEBER (1850-1921).
