Colored lithograph from the early 19th century. Framed dimensions are 19.25x17”. Unframed dimensions are 9.5x7”.

This 6 1/4" by 10" ink drawing on paper (11 1/2" by 13 3/4" as framed) is titled at lower left "Garden of Sounds" and is signed at lower right "STANDISH" and dated "52" I believe. It's a subtle work that does not take well to being photographed, (and I've had to enhance--darken--the photos a bit to make it easier to appreciate on a screen) but, viewed in person, it is quite an impressive and delicate work that reminds one somewhat of some of the drawings by Paul Klee...

Attributed to OLIVE MALSTROM CARL (American 1903 - 1988) A watercolor, double sided each scene is of a red farm house or Barn from different views. On one side the signature was covered over . Classic example of the artist style. Size 15 3/4" by 19 3/4"

A Fine Silkscreen Print by the Listed Artist, Herbert W. Pratt. This print, titled "Low Tide" was in the Museum of Modern Art, New York Exhibition of Color Prints Under $10 by American Artists in 1940. Signed and titled twice, in the print and in blue pencil at bottom. Print is hinged at top of matt. Matt opening measures about 20 1/2" by 14 1/2", overall matt about 28 1/2" by 22 1/2".

Colorful, heavily impressionistic acrylic painting with palette knife, the subject beached wooden boats in a sunny Mediterranean coastal landscape, signed at lower left by listed French artist PIERRE MAS (1933-). The work measures 11 1/4" by 27" as framed. Mas used copious amounts of wet-looking, lush paint, creating an interesting surface and texture. Colors are very complementary and harmonious, the turquoise particularly pleasing...

An original, vintage 1987 poster for the National Gallery of Art's 1987-1988 exhibition of the works of famed American modernist artist GEORGIA O'KEEFFE (1887-1986). The offset poster measures 40" by 25 1/2" as framed. Condition is very good, with only a slight damp stain at lower right margin area. O'Keeffe is today one of the most popular American artists. Her modernist works of New York and the American Southwest can bring many millions of dollars at auction...

Mid 20th century painting of a vessel containing a plant with interesting leaves and orange tightly closed flowers, executed in an impressionist style with a modernist feel, on a 16" by 20" canvasboard, unframed, signed in black capital letters at lower left "Chatterton". Neither the signature nor subject matter resemble those of noted artist Clarence Chatterton, who was a student of Edward Hopper. I am offering it simply as an interesting still life painting...

Offered as a pair, pastel drawings of fruit (an apple, and an orange), each signed by contemporary Alabama studio artist JOHN KELLEY. The drawings are each 4" by 4", and 11" by 9" as framed in light wood. Kelley was born in St. Louis but moved to a rural area near Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where he works diligently, producing paintings and drawings of fruit, four seasons landscape, and portraits. Technically very adept, Kelley has kept a low profile...

From our European Collection, a very good 17th century copper plate engraving, most likely English circa 1650-1700, depicting a Chinese official accompanied by his entourage, with subjects kowtowing in the foreground and a crowd of spectators to the rear.

Size and Condition: 7 inches by 5 1/4 inches, very well preserved with only slight creasing.

Watercolor and gouache impressionist painting of the Dead Sea in Israel, signed in pencil at lower right in modern Hebrew script as "Hana Bar(-on)" or "Chana Bar(-on) and dated there 1970. Below that in Hebrew is written "iam hamelach" (Dead Sea). I am not able to read Hebrew but was able to show this to a Hebrew reader. The work measures 13 1/2" by 19 1/4", and is presently unframed. It can be shipped between boards or in the plastic poster box in which it is presently loosely housed...

Highly decorative pochoir print, circa 1920's, of children flying balloons against a gold sky, 9" by 7", 18" by 16" in playful bright red frame. This is likely an illustration for a children's book of the period. Condition is excellent. The frame has some scratches at top and left that could likely be minimized. The mat is a creamy color with pattern and consistency somewhat resembling that of a paper towel. Ideal for a child's room.

An old oil on gray board painting of a stone bridge over the Seine River in central Paris, in high autumn. The work measures 9" by 12" (11 3/4" by 14 3/4" in attractive maybe 1930's frame). The signature at lower left appears to be "E Turner", the "E" placed on top of the "T". If I am reading this correctly, there does not appear to be a listed artist that would correspond. In any event, the work is excellent, and by a trained hand.

Original lithograph print, sheet 14 7/8" by 11", simply framed (removed from frame for photography), unsigned, titled "Diego" (the brother of Alberto), circa 1961. The backing board bears an early 1960's label from the east coast store "Korvette art gallery", on which is written the artist name, title, medium, and the notation "from Behind The Mirror" Maeght Paris. An interesting pastel drawing of older high rise apartment buildings in a major city, perhaps New York, signed at lower right with initials "EM" or "EW" and dated there 1939. The work, 15" by 11" (21" by 16 1/4" in simple gold metal frame), deals very skillfully with what could potentially be quite sterile subject matter in the wrong hands. This could be seen as a commentary on the anonymity of high rise living in any city...

Painting on canvas of urban skyline with foreground boats, painted in modern and stylish grays, black, white and red, signed at lower right "LF Mark" or similar. The piece, in strip typical late sixties or early seventies frame, measures 18 1/2" by 26". Condition is very good save for a small puncture at lower left that actually blends in with the design and is not all that easy to find. Frame at left and lower right is also ever so slightly askew...
