These coral colored beaded earrings were created for the House of deLillo in 1971 by Robert Clark, former chief designer for Miriam Haskell. They were purchased from Mr. deLillo from his own collection. They are huge and dramatic clip earrings. 4" long from top of clip, 2 1/4" wide. One earring has the deLillo name plate.

This doll is a Hakata clay doll, “Matsukaze” design by the well known Japanese artist, Yoshio Matsuoka.

Matsukaze is a story of two beautiful sisters who met and fell in love with a young courtier in exile at the seashore of Suma Bay. The sisters were “shio kumi”, the saltwater bearers who made their living by ladling seawater (before it was boiled down to salt). Matsukaze is the name of the older sister and literally means “wind through the pine trees”...

This pair of bookends was carved by the Igorots on the northern part of the Island of Luzon in the Philippines sometime in the 1950's. Each bookend depicts a tribesman cautiously peering over his shield at the tribesman on the other side. A vintage North American tribal beadwork knife sheath with colourful applied beadwork on a fringed moose hide c1930s-50s. This 13-1/2" x 7-1/2" (including fringe) knife sheath has a tall loop for hanging off of a belt; the stiff applied lighter colour hide section at the front of the sheath is attached with twisted fine brass wire. This ashtray is my one and only piece of Phoenix Glass - and what a wonderful item it is! This is the #263 Phlox pattern ashtray in the Sculptured Crystal treatment. (crystal glass with a blue ceramic wash applied.) The ashtray is the 5 1/2 inch size - the larger and much harder to find of the two sizes that were made in this pattern. Produced in 1938, it's a rare find indeed! Excellent condition.
