A set of Japanese tsuge (boxwood) combs in delicate hand-cut design, ca 1950, never been used. The combs made out of tsuge wood has been known to be gentle on the hair and scalp without causing static. They were treasured by the women and men for many, many centuries. These elegant, charming Beaumont Glass keyhole candlesticks are in an opaque, clambroth color on the Fer-Lux blank. Each belled and flared foot shows enamel green dots - quite festive. Condition: Left and right edges bumped and slightly toned.

Chinese thinly potted famille-rose enamelled vase on a lime green graviata ground with five figures in different poses surrounding. The top rim is edged in gilt. The inside and the base are glazed in turquoise blue. The base has a four character mark in iron red surrounded by a single iron red square border.

Size is 10-1/8" high by 7-7/8" diameter

Condition: The gilt edging at the top rim is worn in places and there are some frits. The enamels show some minor wear.

Origin: Issued as a folded insert to an N.Y.K. Line publication called, "Glimpses of the East". The folds are vertical.

The composition of this print is reminiscent of the Fuji views of Tsuchiya Koitsu.

It has an exquisite contrast of colours, great form and glazing The potter's mark is in the bottom. Sharon is one of the most widely recognized and collected depression glass patterns. Made by Federal Glass from 1935 to 1939, it is popular in pink, green and amber. Consolidated Glass Company produced the Catalonian line in 1927. It was made to look like glass found in Catalonia Spain at the archaeological sites, and had bubbles and raised rings blown into the glass. This is the #1114 4 1/2 inch finger or mayo bowl in Emerald. Excellent condition, price is per bowl. Tableware is very difficult to find in this pattern, so get them while you can. Brooch no100B (sometimes referred to as no120) is a small design with two tulips and berries. Another vintage GJ piece, this brooch is also a classic that was produced after 1945, according to the Georg Jensen mark. Georg Jensen in a circle of dots, sterling Denmark, and 100B are on the back of the pin. The pin is 1.5in (4cm) long.

A small Japanese hibachi formally known as te-aburi or a hand warmer which were often found in traditional Japanese homes. The hand warmer is shaped in the form of a winter pumpkin known as an akoda and the design has been in use since the 17th century. The warmer contains makie decorations of chrysanthemums set with a bamboo fence. Age: 20th century Size: diameter 7.5" height 8.25"

A fairly large Korean style Buddhist painting portraying the image of the Water Moon Avalokitesvara or Suwol Gwaneum in Korean. The Avalokitesvara is dressed in vestments and accessories common to the figure of a Bodhisattva and has the water vessel which offers blessings to all sentient beings. The bodhisattva is attended by a boy figure known as shan nanzi who often seen in pictorial and textual depictions in East Asian Buddhism. Age: 20th century. Size: height 105.5" width 53"

A four panel coromandel screen with four porcelain panels set inside the screen surrounded with mother of pearl inlay of various human subjects set within a landscape. Large, Powerful Tengu Mask by the Renowned Artisan Hashimoto Yoshinobu of the Miharu Choshi mingei studio. One of the most fantastic examples of a Tengu that you will ever see. Mid 20th Century. Papier mache on mountain-grown willow wood. 18h x 18d x 8w inches, 46h x 46d x 20w cm. Height with beard: 36 inches, 91.5 cm.

A set of six sterling silver coffee spoons by Asprey & Co. Each spoon has a brownish-black bakelite “coffee bean”—a decorative device popular in England during the Art Deco period. Each spoon is fully hallmarked for Asprey, 1931. The spoons are presented in their original silk- and velvet-lined fitted box, the lid of which is imprinted “Asprey/166 Bond St/London”.
