Carved Wood Quran Stand, Koran Stand, late 1800- 1920, 18" high when closed flat, 10 3/4" wide and 14 1/2" wide, 7 1/4" deep when fully open, all in one piece, there are lot of small detailed carvings are worn and stained.
Chinese antique "Henan" stoneware vase of meiping form with ribbing, with a short collared neck over broad shoulders tapering to a narrow foot. Iron painted deep brown to black glaze. The glaze stopping short of the unglazed rim and base.

A rare and very finely decorated Chinese porcelain vase depicting a flowering peony shrub painted with fencai/famille rose enamels.
On the base is the iron red four character mark "Shen de tang zhi" -the "Hall for the Cultivation of Virtue" which was located in the Old Summer Palace, the Yuanmingyuan, which was destroyed by European troops in 1860. The mark was used during the Kangxi and Daoguang reigns and also during the Republic period (1912-1948) when we believe this vase was made...

Beautiful pink jug or pitcher manufactured by the Dunbar Glass Company in the 1920’s. If is often called pre-depression glass since it was made prior to the depression era but resembles depression glass. It is about 10” tall with an etched flower, sometimes referred to as cornflower, on the body. Estimating it will hold about 50 ounces more or less. Excellent condition.

A wooden sculpture carved from a single block of wood of kannon or kwan yin. The work takes inspiration from the 6th century image at Horyuji temple in Ikaruga, Nara. Jimbo Yutaka (1923~) is known throughout Japan for his wooden sculptures and has done numerous exhibitions. The work comes with a tomobako with the inscription of the title of the work and the artist's signature and seals. The work also contains a signature by the artist. This really pretty amber Ribbed Optic Panels Night or Guest Pitcher, with Lid, was made by Paden City in the 1920s and 1930s.
