Patchwork quilts ("rilhi") are among the finest folk art coverlets in Pakistan. Sindhis have traditionally used them as ground covers at outdoor Sufi religious festivals. This rilhi is from Thatta and measures 75 1/2 inches by 95 inches. It is dated to the mid 20th century. Condition is excellent (no holes, stains, nor repairs).

Beautiful black Japanese wedding (Uchikake) in new condition, basting stiches still intact along the sleeves and other areas. The design is from the Heian Era (794-1192AD), imperial cart in pine trees. The gown is particularly well made and look better than our old photos. The colors are beautiful (no color loss), vivid yet elegant.

Japanese woven Bamboo Ikebana flower Basket, Ca. 1930, 11" high include handle, 9" x 7 1/2" wide, signed "Japan" on the bottom, shows wear and some scratches on the bamboo, no major damages.

Vintage Japanese Satsuma tea set with 2 cups with lids and a teapot with bamboo handle. the set is dedicated for a honorary gift written in gold on the back side and each cup and the teapot are signed. Good condition though there is some staining from use. This set was purchased in 1990 in Kagoshima . No damage wear to gold, size cup h 3" to finial and 3" wide the teapot 4.25 to top of finial.

This plate is a fine example of the work of Hamada Shoji, a well known Japanese master potter. It is 7 ¾ inches in diameter. It carries a letter of authenticity from Mr. Barry Till who is curator of Asian Art, Art Gallery of Greater Victoria. It was purchased in 1967 from a dealer in Hawaii. It is in very good condition.

Imperial Candlewick Cup and Saucer was made from 1936-82. This cup and Saucer is in mint condition. 3 sets are available.

Georg Jensen with Christian Mohl Hansen designed this dove brooch, possibly because the world was at war when this one was produced. It is1.75 in at widest point , 1.5in high (4.25cm, 4cm). There are many GJ doves in existence but few that are as old as this one, which was produced more than 80 years ago. Printed on the back is the Georg Jensen mark used from 1933 to 1944. Printed there also are 925, sterling, Denmark, and the number 155.

This is a very Handsome pair of all original French Club chairs form the late 40's, early 50's. They sit deep and comfortably. They have their original velvet cushions. Vintage Chinese ink and color on paper painting by Taiwan artist Huang Hui-jen (Huang Huizhen). The painting depicts a small traditional building barely visible on an outcropping surrounded by rocky cliffs and forested mountains. Signed in black ink with the artist's red seal and dated in Chinese "1974" on the left side. Measures 27"V x 18"H. The painting is bordered in white silk scroll mounting which measures 36"V x 22 1/2"H...

These are the small rose "desert rose" salt and pepper shakers with English plugs.
