Ancient Thai Mon Period Lacquered and gilded Stucco Buddhist Head. The over life-size head is believed to be that of a temple guardian figure. The sculpture was split from ear to ear when we acquired it and had it restored to museum quality the gold is original only the left lower cheek was redone . The head was built around a brick wrapped is a gauze textile . We had the sculpture mounted on a Lucite stand
Large standing gilded wooden Buddha. Dressed in full robes and with his down turned hands at this sides demonstrating the Calling in the Rain mudra, a gesture to bring the rain to nourish the rice fields. Tall pointed ushnisha and extended earlobes frame a face with down cast inlaid eyes and compassionate expression. From Luang Prabang, Laos. On custom metal stand.

Small Indian Jain bronze depicting the seated figure of Vishnu with Lakshmi seated on his left knee. Lakshmi, the inseparable energy of Vishnu, sits with her right arm around Vishnu's waist. Below him on the rectangular platform is the tiny figure of his vehicle Garuda, identifiable by his tiny but unmistakable wings. Two other smaller figures hold up each of Vishnu's knees.

Small Indian Jain bronze of a seated Vishnu. His wife, Lakshmi is seated on his left knee. Vishnu hold his attributes, the conch shell in his upper right hand and Sudarshana Chakra (discus) in his upper left. Patina and traces of vermillion pigment. The faces of both deities are smooth from years of reverent handling.

Stevens & Williams Vaseline Opalescent Epergne stands 13" tall, made in the 1880's! The base is 8" wide. Has a couple of very small bubbles within the bowl. Otherwise, it has no chips or scratches. Excellent condition for something made in the 1880's. The bowl is swirl optic while the horn stem is heavily ribbed. Any questions, please ask.
This is a fine grayish lavender opaline vase. Circa 1900. It is 7 1/4" tall by 3 3/4" wide. The inside diameter of the mouth opening is 3" while the collar is only 1 3/4" in diameter.
There are no chips, no cracks and no repairs to this item. This item is in excellent condition. The gold decoration is worn.

Chinese Han Dynasty 206 BC to 220 AD tomb offering pottery jar in Green glaze the foot has a few spur fragments from firing . The glaze with a wonderful iridescent sheen. Size H 4.5" by 5.5" wide
This basked is American, circa 1880. It is white with blue ruffled trim, and has what appears to be mica is the glass. The handle is clear, and it is quite large, measuring 9 1/2" tall x 11" wide and 7 1/2" deep. It is in perfect original condition.

Japanese Silk Embroidery Seascape, Unsigned, 16 x 17"
A cast iron beast, probably a tiger. The elongated shape of the animal, the size, the sagging of the back, suggest that it is a brush rest. There are a lot of modern cast iron copies, which may be the case here, but we can certify that this little tiger has been in the Sakura collection for at least forty years, which proves nothing.

This circular jade (nephrite) pendant (or plaque) is 2 ¾” in diameter and 3/16” thick. It is a late 19th century product. A very unusual and well carved folky wood cane with iron ferrule and silver band below handle, dense wood, rusty brown color, possibly a fraternal object, late 19th century, a fine example of folk art found in walking sticks, canes, and staffs.
Measures 25" high and 3 3/4" wide at handle, the carved section and handle at the top measure 4 3/4" the silver band is 1/2".

Chinese small carved jade ink stone and brush washer in one piece. The ink stone side is carved with a leaning pine tree and mist. Turned on its reverse side, it functions as a brush washer. The sides are incised with a key fret motif.
